Re: New coaster for Ireland....
Can't believe this, great news  . Finally something decent I don't need to leave the country for.
Well done to the owners if they can get the go ahead, I'll definitely be visiting. Hopefully this is just the start for the park being able to afford larger...
They should have went back to this colour scheme if they are going all traditional, although the pc brigade might be all over them with the Union Jack on display at the front.
Looking forward to seeing photos of the grey colour scheme whenever they appear. Should look good.
Re: London Riots
I can't believe how far its escalated over the past few days. I just hope they get hold of this because it could end up spreading all over the London area.
They need to send the PSNI in. They deal with stuff like this all the time so they would have better knowledge of how to...
Nice report Tony. Great to see you rate Goliath so high afterwards, its amazing.
I agree with the bad layout of the park. Getting to Goliath each time was a real pain. We ended up just whoring it at the time just to save us having to endure that long walk :( .
Re: Olympia Looping - Coming to the UK?
I can just imagine how much it will cost per ride seeing as they will have to ship it over from Germany. It was around €6/€7 a go at the Oktoberfest a couple of years ago. They'd make a killing with the number of tourists than will be around when the...
Re: The southern Germany tour!
Nice report so far Mark. Looked like you had fun at Skyline Park, I loved the place. Was so relaxed and had loads of quirky rides.
Did they get rid of the smaller bumper car which were powered from the bottom of the track near the entrance to the park. They were...
I was always afraid to go up it seeing as it was in such a state so its no great loss to the area. They need to demolish the whole seafront area there as its such a disaster. You cant even see the sea with the village thing in the way.
Haha, nice report Ian, I miss Towyn even though its a bit dodgy :--D .
Looks like they have done up the train on the Tir Prince roller coaster, it was in bits when we did the park a couple of years ago.
Greenwood is really worth the journey, the human powered roller coaster is quiky and...
Are they still turning Space Invader into Spongebobs house? I couldn't tell from the park map that was posted on the last page. Thats the only reason I want to go.
The longest I've queued for was around 2 hours for Loup-Garou at Walibi, Belgium and the next was Mumbo Jumbo at Flamingoland about a week after it opened. My worst queue experience ever with the park full of scumbags that day. Took about an hour and a half.
Yes, the locals gave out about the noise from Wipeout so they had to wait quite a while between each ride which meant large queues. So if they want to put anything in larger than that they will have problems.
It was the same with Enigma, they were very slow at loading and dispatching.
Looks like another quiet year for me again in 2011 :( .
Hope to do Blackpool whenever they get the Nick land thing open and then a trip to the small parks in North Wales and Merseyside area. Also I need to whore The Ultimate again so maybe a day trip to Lightwater too.
The roughest coaster I've been on was Coaster Express at Parque Warner. It was so painful and the coaster felt like the brakes were constantly jammed on. Bandit at Movie Park Germany was also pretty bad.
The worst flat I've done was Alakazam at Pleasure Island. The worst restraints ever...
Nice report, it looks very similar to the Funderland event we have here at the moment but I'd love to have the Toboggan coaster instead of the Wild Mouse one thats here.
