^Complete with an ostrich egg off Ebay.

It's sweet, isn't it?

Development/construction of this ride seems to be quite slow? Love the viral efforts though.

Sweet.

They're trying to do clone Raptor's marketing campaign, but on a smaller scale:

Kinda love that promotion of "Danger. Keep out". The graphics are pretty great!

^Indeed.

However, they're for Raptor at Gardaland, NOT this new thing at Paulton's. Paulton's have just been "inspired" by that for their ingenious, original marketing for their new attraction.

Still can't guess what it could be, I mean it can't be a coaster, and isn't an extremis clone a BIT too intense for children?

^This.

The whole "Magma" volcano thing just screams shot tower. Obviously, you've got volcano themed coasters, but that ain't happening.

The one in Scotland was tiny wasn't it? While the smaller ones are actually quite intense, they don't look all that intimidating, so it would still fit in with Paulton's family market.

I really liked it was one of the better shot towers tbh. I'm hoping it's that.

Cannot remember the height but I think furie said it was the one from Southport.

I was about to say the exact same thing.

I'm still not sure where the egg/dinosaur thing fits in.

Re: NEW RIDE PAULTONS 2012 ?

^ It will just be a prehistoric theme. If you look at any of the old "dinosaur" films (you know, the ones from the '60s and '70s where people go back in time) volcanoes always feature prominently.

I'm not suggesting for a second the theming/story will require a knowledge of corny '70s dinosaur films, just that dinosaurs kind of go hand in hand with "volcanic" landscapes.

The shot tower at Loudoun was the 'medium' sized tower, at 140ft (BPB FI & FL - 200ft, PI 80ft).

I would agree with it being the new ride, but these things make **** loads of noise...

The Shot Tower from Loudown was previously the Pleasureland's one, which is by FAR one of the best Shot Towers I've been on!

Well if it is going to be based on volcanic eruption, it should be called Lava, not Magma!

CONFIRMED: Drop/Shot tower. Doesn't look like the S&S one though.

Also it is around 82 feet, 25 metres.

If the themeing turns out like this it could be amazing.
