Re: Uncle Arly's Dev Topic - Unknown X-Car (6/02/2013)

Interesting. The brake run looks fun as all sin <3

Re: Uncle Arly's Dev Topic - Unknown X-Car (6/02/2013)

Yeah, it's very steep. It's the only place I could slot it in, haha.

Re: Uncle Arly's Dev Topic - Unknown X-Car (6/02/2013)

Looks pretty neat! I like the first inversion after the lift hill, it looks smooth and slick.

I look forward to seeing this complete. 3Ds station or supports?

Re: Uncle Arly's Dev Topic - Unknown X-Car (6/02/2013)

Support station. It's the standard one I always use. I really need to start tinkering with 3Ds.

Re: Uncle Arly's Dev Topic - Unknown X-Car (9/02/2013)

Nearly complete.

Looks pretty nice actually. How do you make the roofs for your stations?

Re: Uncle Arly's Dev Topic - 'Scorch' X-Car (9/02/2013)

Scorch_zps1217e8f7.jpg

Scorch is a Maurer Shone x-Car that utilises the 'humpty-bumpty' lift found on G-Force at Drayton Manor Theme Park, UK. I had two other attempts of layouts that started off incredibly compact and I ended up with this, which is still fairly compact.

This track features a 3Ds import of an earlier coaster of mine 'Alva Noto' for scenery purposes. I hope to add this this to create a park of sorts.

Elements:

-Humpty Bumpty Lift -Dive Loop -Airtime Hill -Overbank -Overbank -Barrel Roll

Statistics:

Height: 86ft. Top Speed: 46MPH Inversions: 3 Length: 1722.47ft

Re: Uncle Arly's Dev Topic - 'Yalungar' X-Car (17/02/2013)

Very interested to see this floorless coaster you're marketing as an...X-car?

lol, simple mistake, unless I've gone totally and completely blind.

Re: Uncle Arly's Dev Topic - 'Yalungar' released (18/02/2013

Yalungur is a B&M Dive Machine. Inspired by the smaller drop into a tunnel found on Oblivion at Alton Towers crossed with the newer and larger Dive Machines found at the Busch Gardens parks.

"In Australian Aboriginal mythology, Yalungur is a great bird, an eagle or hawk. He was castrated either by Gidja or by Gidja's brother Mali so that Gidja could create the first woman."

It features a fast, large and swooping layout intertwining with the scenery surrounding it.

Height: 187 ft.
Top Speed:
Inversions: 2
Length: 2114.39 ft.

Elements:
-Vertical Drop
-Immelmann
-Rising turn/airtime hill
-Drop into valley
-Immelmann
-Helix

Re: Uncle Arly's Dev Topic - Eurofighter (20/03/2013)

Just a little something?

Jesus Christ you have high standards.

Re: Uncle Arly's Dev Topic - Eurofighter (20/03/2013)

Yes! Somebody else using the electrical tower! Best supports ever.

Re: Uncle Arly's Dev Topic - Eurofighter (20/03/2013)

Thanks guys.

The lift hill pylon was created using supports which I then imported into construction kit so I could copy it and use it again without having to rebuild in the editor.

Re: Uncle Arly's Dev Topic - Electrolyte Released!

This was easily your best ride. The theme and layout were fantastic and your building technique has improved tremendously. The only I saw was that the 0-g roll got fairly snappy at the end.

9/10

Re: Uncle Arly's Dev Topic - Electrolyte Released!

I like how you used the music from Dendritic, or at the very least similar music.

Good pacing, just could've wished for a little bit more speed. 9/10.

Re: Uncle Arly's Dev Topic - Electrolyte Released!

Excellent stuff! Liked the layout, liked the pacing, liked the interactions. Overall, fantastic!

9/10

Re: Uncle Arly's Dev Topic - Electrolyte Released!

8.5/10. Great interaction, great layout. Didn't like that the mid-course-brake-run had to kill of so much speed but overall excellent.
