^ Yeah the Border cross is pretty epic, it's way more fun to see than the "normal" Alpine disciplines, I wonder what happened if they ran 4 skiers at a time during the Downhill runs :)

I saw the Snowboard Cross last night aswell, it's brilliant. It was crazy how close some of them get and some of them go flying. It was fantastic, can't believe how that Seth Wescott guy came from the back in the final to win, he got some crazy speed from somewhere.

The pairs figure skating finished last night at like, four in the morning which was annoying, but watching it was pretty exciting. One of the pairs (the Germans) that I wanted to get in the top three got a bronze, and of course the Canadians had to go and be sixth because the girl fell. Actually, a whole bunch of people fell last night which made it kind of exciting to see who would actually succeed at doing the triple axle thing they were all failing at. The guys are better than the girls, it seems.

Watched some luging too, saw they put up padding on the rails where the guy died.

Is it wrong of me to want to see Jacobellis fall flat on her arse again?Following her major **** up in Turin, I don't think she deserves an olympic gold. She had her chance, and chose to throw it away.

Lets see how the rest of tonight goes. Her first run looked very very good.

I too must vouch for the coolness of this event. I never actually knew it was an actual event until now, I thought it was just limited to video games like SSX.
Actually, the resemblance to what happens in a video game was pretty funny, like the number of times boarders would tilt to some crazy angle and almost fall over, but somehow right themselves and keep on going.

Well she kind of did by getting disqualified and nearly falling over haha. Can't believe how good Maelle Ricker was though, she dominated every race she was in.

Yeah, I did actually get quite excited when she went flying through the flag. I'm a bad person.

The halfpipe is on <3 I think I prefer the SBX, but it's still awesome. Shaun White is clearly superhuman.

But yes, still makes me sad that I can't ride anymore. Mind you, I'll apaprently still be able to bend my ankle after my op... so you never know :)

I have mixed feelings about you losing the Vadgefoot though :(

On the one hand it's fab that it's getting fixed; but on the other it will be sad to see it go, it's almost become a part of your personality :p

Much love,

Neal xx

lol Neal! It'll still be here, don't worry. It'll just be less pronounced. Plus, it means you get to spend at least 3 months taking the piss out of the moon boot again!

On topic. Torah Bright tonight! <3 (lol, I struggled to type that, my fingers automatically typed "Brighton"! haha) Might actually be forced to try and stay up to watch it. I only made it through the first qualifying heat of the men's last night.

Woo! Congratulations Tora Berger for taking Norway's 100th Winter Olympic gold medal!

Though, we've done pretty badly these games. A major mess-up by the ski preparers, a few lucky milliseconds for some foreign downhill skiers, and a couple of very suspicious Russians have had their effects on the medal count.

My friend was 'screaming' (using caps) over MSN last night about how some poor skiier had rolled over the finish line but been disqualified because she wasn't upright. I'm bored, so could anyone tell me who this skiier was so I can watch the video and laugh and then feel slightly ashamed that I'm laughing at such an unfortunate incident?

Cheers XD
