Knoebels | Flying Turns | In house construction

Re: Knoebels |"Flying Turns"| In house construction

I actually commented on this in a Knoebels' Facebook post. I wonder if they still have the ride price listed on the site.

They should just burn the **** ing thing down and claim on the insurance.

It's a complete **** ing joke at this point.

Wasn't a POV out ages ago?

Well, it was a prototype chassis. Perhaps they've finished the cars now? I honesty don't know.

Ah, ****, I read the date wrong...it's 2011 not 2012. I got it from an article "5 hours ago", I guess I didn't bother to check the video.

You know there is not a lot of roller coaster construction projects out there...

When this thread appears towards the top of the Ride Construction forum.

Re: Knoebels |"Flying Turns"| In house construction

Apparently this has turned into a side project of theres in which only one mechanic had been working on. They had hired another person or two to help design the trains for this.

It is crazy just how few topics there are now!

Re: Knoebels |"Flying Turns"| In house construction

I mean, it's only summer and rides aren't usually built in the summer. Never woulda thought that the ride construction forum would be dead. :p

Re: Knoebels |"Flying Turns"| In house construction

I would love to see fellow wooden coaster engineers come together to see this coaster through, volunteering their time to really figure out how to get this coaster up.

Everyone wants to see this coaster succeed, yet I feel that as more time passes, the chances are diminished. This coaster has already sustained the worst economic recession since the Great Depression - let's hope that is all that stands in the way of an opening.

Apparently some work is happening on the transfer track.
