Was an ok race, well done to Fissi great drive.

As a few people have said though, Kimi went way off the track passed 2 cars and then lined up Kubica. Is this far as I remember last year Lewis passed someone of the track

Renault are in real **** as someone has said they planned for Piquet to crash so Alonso would get help with the safety car.

Was Piquet Jr imo, he's still butthurt about being sacked and now he's bitching about Grosjean on twitter, today when Grosjean crashed he posted 'Great job Grosjean'. He just needs to accept that he is a crap driver and he was out of his depth in F1.

Looks like I missed the only decent race of lately. Well done Force India for the second place finish with Fisichella. What a result after snatching pole. I wonder how he will get on at Ferrari if he does end up going there.

Singapore last year.

Piquet crashed and this caused the safety car that allowed Alonso to go from 14th to 2nd as he did not have to pit as he was on a 1 stop I think due to problems in quali.

Piquet is meant to be saying he was given an instruction to crash and cause the safety car.

Emmett it really wasn't a decent race.

Crash within the first lap and then as soon as the safety car was gone Raikonnen overtook Fisichella and then it was pretty much a following the leader situation from then on in. The only other drama was the pit incident...

Thanks Mark, I thought I had missed more than that. If they can't even have a decent race on one of the best tracks what hope is there for some of the less exciting tracks.

A few teams, Toyota, BMW,Mclaren and Force India are asking questions about the Kimi move.

Last year Lewis passed Kimi off track gave the place back and then went passed again and got a penalty.

This year Kimi passed 2 cars off track and lined up Kubica and no penalty was given.

Nothing can be done now but drivers will be told yet again run offs are not for passing and drivers will not get away with it in Italy.

I didn't watch it, I watched the BTCC races instead. I was on the edge of my seat all the way through. I cheered, I was shocked, I was emotional throughout the entire thing. I have no idea who won, but it doesn't matter! The racing is tight, intense fast and full of thrills. Absolutely brilliant!

I feel sorry for those who watched the F1 and missed the BTCC...

He is finally going to be an Italian driving for Ferrari and his home track, well done Fissi.

I didn't watch it, I watched the BTCC races instead. I was on the edge of my seat all the way through. I cheered, I was shocked, I was emotional throughout the entire thing. I have no idea who won, but it doesn't matter! The racing is tight, intense fast and full of thrills. Absolutely brilliant!

I feel sorry for those who watched the F1 and missed the BTCC...

BTCC is so much better. Though I wasn't up for the first race, but the rest were great. I only got into it about a month ago, but I'm hooked now. Definately thinking about going back to Oulton Park next year.

Good news for Fisichella though. The Italians will be happy at Monza.

BTCC is so much better. Though I wasn't up for the first race, but the rest were great. I only got into it about a month ago, but I'm hooked now. Definately thinking about going back to Oulton Park next year.

How are they deciding who gets pole these days in BTCC. The last time I watched it (granted about a year, possibly 2 ago) it was a complete game show-eque farce. I was heavily into it in my teens but then it just got stupid.

Congratulations to Fissi. At least he will get to end his career on the best possible high he could.

In the [Saturday] afternoon, a 30-minute qualifying session is held. The times from this decide the starting grid order for the first of Sunday’s three rounds. If drivers have set equal times, the one who set it first will start ahead of the other.

The starting grid for the second of Sunday’s three rounds is decided by the finishing order of the day’s first race. Sunday’s third round grid is decided by the finishing order of the second race but, uniquely, with the leading positions reversed. The number of positions to be reversed becomes known only after race two when the winner draws a random number between six and ten.

So really, I'm not sure and qualifying's not broadcast on the Saturday. I'm guessing it could be a "drive out in the half hour and do a fast lap."

Well at least they have abandoned the system of basically playing wheel of fortune to get the Pole-Sitter. Seriously, it was after seeing that I gave up all hope of ever reigniting a love of BTCC again.

Bowl of balls. That's how they decide the final BTCC pole. Winner of race two picks out a number between 6 & 10, and the grid's reversed to that point. It always looks so ridiculous, but it is a pretty good way of stopping someone like Jason Plato purposefully finishing 10th in race two so that he automatically gets pole in race 3.

Its still a crashfest, but to be fair, that's what touring cars is about. Be it BTCC, WTCC or DTM, its all the same (apart from the car in DTM being far cooler). Its close racing, but a crap standard of close racing lol.


Seems Liuzzi'll get a drive back with Fisi stepping up to Ferrari, seeing as he's Force India's reserve. Nothing special there then.

Force India's repair bill is about to get bigger lol.

The Italian GP is set to be very boring this week, Mclaren should walk it having the best KERS and best engine, Ferrari will be close though.
