Music Recommendations

I've found the indie equivalent of Enter Shikari. They're called Screaming Lights and they're awesome! Its a proper full blown mix of trance-type electronica and Editors-ish indie rock music. Properly beautiful song.

The only version on YouPube is a live one, but its reasonable quality as live stuff goes, so please listen! You never know, you might find something you love!

On the subject of Enter Shikari too, in Juggernauts, Rou Reynolds sounds just like Mike Skinner from The Streets in the spoken word bit near the start. And Chris Batten's voice has suddenly because awesome!

EDIT - I want to post again, but seeing as no-one's forthcoming in posting, its edit time!

I've found a live performance of Reckoner by Radiohead that they did for VH1. Its such an awesome track, Above & Beyond even did a trance remix recently, but it wasn't as good as the original. As laid back and relaxed as this track is, its weirdly got a bit of a dancey feel to it, which I think just comes from the mental amounts of percussion used. Its extremely cymbal-heavy. The guitar riff of Thom's is just brilliant though, and becomes more and more listenable with every listen. Its simply as beautiful as Radiohead will ever be.

Crystal Castles are epic. Who thinks to plug a broken keyboard into an Atari machine?

Extreme heavy metal: Bleeding Mascara-Atreyu

You cant understand the singer lol

I wouldn't say Atreyu were extreme metal. Not a bad band by any means, I just think they are leaning towards generic metalcore much in the same way as Killswitch Engage are.

Atreyu is no where near heavy to be classed as extreme. If its the most heaviest thing you've heard then definatley it sounds 'extreme'.

For metal heads:

Emperor: Live At Wacken Open Air 2006

Fantastic live album, well worth a listen if your a black metal fan.

I can't be ****ed to check if somebody has already posted this, but La Roux are insanely good and everybody should be well into this by now:

Listenen to Just Jack's new song Embers at last, and it is fantastic. The overlapping lyrics are a bit much at times, but its quite interesting and maybe beautiful. Ive also listened to Doctor Doctor, dont know if its out yet at its the next single and I like it alot, the verses naz be rapped but the chorus is great and so are the lyrics.
Listened to some Kanye West recently, Street lights off his new album and it is possibly my fave out me the 3 gud heard alongside Love lockdown and Heartless.

Pink Floyd - The Great Gig In The Sky

Neurofen advert! Reminds me of having a headache.

Even worse was listening to it while tripping - that really messes with your head and hurts it. I've found that it's lost its appeal since.

However, apart from that and Money, Dark Side of the Moon is made of pure awesome!
