Canada's Wonderland |"Leviathan"| B&M HyperGiga

Re: Leviathan - B&M giga coaster for Canada's Wonderland

It also has to do with the tension and compression in the beams and with triangles those forces are best distributed.

Such a shame that those photos were taken on a gross, cloudy and dark day.
The photos would have looked so much better if it was bright and sunny.
Anyways, that drop is looking awesome.

A New update
http://leviathan.canadaswonderland.com/ ... he_Top.cfm

- The Crown of the hill is being assembled on the ground and is almost ready to be put up
- 4 more lift pieces to go (to be completed this week)
- 20 piers left to fill
- Station Slab is finished and the structural work will begin next week
- The brake run will also be finished this week

Also some of the supports are temporary so those strange cross beams could be removed

EDIT: The Facebook page also has some new photos

Re: Leviathan - B&M giga coaster for Canada's Wonderland

^I does... I know I am not a regular poster on this topic, but I am actually really excited for this coaster. It looks amazing!

Re: Leviathan - B&M giga coaster for Canada's Wonderland

Whoever took that photo managed to catch it at just the right angle to make that drop look vertical. I commend them for that. Regardless, looks delectable.

Yup, the back row on that drop is going to be pretty **** epic!

That has got to be 80%+. No wonder the supports are so unusual.

Re: Leviathan - B&M giga coaster for Canada's Wonderland

What is it about the look of a certain ride or element that gets the adrenaline pumping. This one is getting more interesting by the week.

Re: Leviathan - B&M giga coaster for Canada's Wonderland

Even though I probably won't get to ride this coaster for ages...it's looking really great now, and that photo just emphasizes it's epic-ness!

The reason why the drop is almost vertical is probably because of the fact that it's a giga. Look at milennium force's drop!

I suspect this the drop will create "butterflies" in your stomach at the bottom...so...it all good! :--D

Check your premises. You will find that one of them is wrong.

"Butterflies" in terms of the kind of "Willy Lift", well that won't be at the bottom of the drop, if anything, it'll be as you're actually on the descent of the drop after cresting the lift-hill. It's known as "Airtime". Heard of it?

You two are being kinda harsh, but I must agree on both accounts.
