Wasn't the Seven Dwarves cred the last e-ticket attraction at MK?
Seems a little jarring to put this in Frontierland but whatever floats their boat... (or lack of when Rivers of America shutters for good).
EDIT: I suppose this makes sense?
Six rides on Hyperia later, and it's my new #3. Few coasters leave you positively thinking to yourself "what the f****?" several hours after park close, but Hyperia's managed to do that for me. It's intense, it's relentless, it packs in some of the most ridiculously and obscenely unique airtime...
They're working on sorting out as many of the ride's issues as they can. Fully support opening at midday if that's the goal. The park need to get the ride up to a better operational standard before the summer madness begins.
As of Tuesday, it's Na Fianna Force!
I''ve not ridden many of the more modern Vekomas, but I can safely say my favourites from Vekoma are :
1. Na Fianna Force
2. F.L.Y.
3. Speed of Sound
4. Colorado Adventure
5. Calamity Mine
6. Big Thunder Mountain (DLP)
7. Luna
8. The Quest
Rode them both yesterday. Na Fianna Force is my favourite invert given it's lap bars and unique set of elements of a ride of its kind. It offers some very rapid directional changes, floaty inversions, strong positive G's and some amazing ejector airtime! It's strongest at the back if you want...
Visually, it's quite stunning, and I like how familiar it is to the classic Thorpe ads from the noughties... but sadly, and I say this as someone who directs... I rather do hope that there's a 60 second version... because the pacing in this 30 second Ad just doesn't allow for the audience to...
Very positive development. It'll bring a much needed new filler addition to the park, and finally a new permanent flat ride that is also suitable for thrill seekers. Yes we have seen a Topspin at Towers before, and yes Ripsaw wasn't the most reliable attraction in the world, but the previous...
The first official multi-angle off ride POV from the park. Also featuring pieces to camera from John Burton and another representative from Merlin Magic Making.
Hyperia is a predominantly stylistic coaster, as has been evident since the planning application was submitted. At no point has there been any indication that the ride will feature immersive theming.
There is only one confirmed trim at this moment, and that is the simulated splashdown. As is standard practice with a lot of Mack's coasters, brackets have been installed for trims before the outward banked turn/twist in case the train over-speeds, should that happen, only then will a trim will...
The park explained on their annual passholders group that there was a clear creative decision behind the colour change, stating that it looked more 'dynamic' than a typical fade like what Stealth has. This was a Merlin Magic Making level creative decision.

New window on the station.
Landscaping has started to arrive on site.

Screenshotted from Thorpe's TikTok story...some fantastic progress has been made! Bottom of first drop has been installed, as well as the airtime moment out of the non-inverting immelmann!
Two very different coaster experiences, designed to do very different things. We all know and love Nemesis, it's in many enthusiasts' top 10. I'm sure that we'll all love Hyperia also, but for very different reasons. I can see them both complimenting people's top 20's if we have to choose a...
