I am going to deny it, there's a reason that Big Dipper still has the 3rd highest ridership in the park after nearly 100 years.
Some days they can be bumpier than others, but (for me at least) bumpy doesn't equate to pain. I don't think Infusion is painful either though, or The Smiler/SAW. Only...
I get that the back row of Grand National is a bit rough, but other than that I have no idea why people say Big Dipper/Grand National are so rough. I ride both of them frequently and I almost never experience any pain whatsoever and I think they are both fantastic classic wooden coasters and...
I've seen the station empty for a good 25 seconds on two train operation, so three trains will definitely help boost throughput if operations remain good.
Rode after 9pm today, back row, absolutely brilliant, my shirt nearly came off there was so much airtime.
I've previously said I prefer the front but I think I've now changed my mind.
My final thoughts on Icon:
I got the chance to ride today, think it was 10 rides. I loved it every bit as much as last week, although being lashed in the face with rain wasn't the best!
Front row is my personal favourite, back is excellent also, middle is still great, there really isn't a bad...
Back two rows of one of the trains apparently, should get fixed soon I hope, it didn't take them too long to fix it on Helix.
Speaking of the back row....
Yeah I know, I wasn't expecting people to worship it but man, some reviews don't even make it seem half decent.
Anyway, I'm going tomorrow so screw y'all haha :p
I really can't believe some of the bad reviews, I'm at a loss for words, totally not what I expected the reviews to be like after riding it myself. Wow.
Lack of excitement certainly isn't a phrase I would associate with Icon, I finished the ride being thoroughly satisfied, everyone likes different things though I suppose which is great, personally I often find Nemesis a tad boring whereas most rave about it.
It is my first Mack launch coaster...
First time I've heard anyone say Blue Fire is better. I felt myself being flung out of my seat all the way throughout the layout, seems to be happening for some people but not for others, not sure why. Could it be to do with size in the restraints? I have no idea.
Another rider cam POV here, this is what the speed is normally like:
