I've ordered Dark Sector as well. Couldn't resist it at just a fiver.

I'm still playing Burnout Paradise at the moment and it's good fun. Found most of the crash gates and red boards but the last ones are pretty hard to find. Haven't done many of the races etc and failed at setting the fastest time on some of the streets but not that bothered really. Need to play online a bit more as well as I've only been online for about half an hour.
The motorbikes are good as well but much harder to steer and easier to crash than the cars.

Red Faction: Guerilla is coming out very soon.
At first I was kind of sceptic about the 3rd person viewpoint, but it's beginning to look like quite the game.

I just spent ages on Burnout Paradise trying to get a 100% perfect parallel power park. I kept getting in the ninety's with alot of 99%. I finally did it then found out there wasn't a trophy for it.

There is a prize for it on the xbox 360 Ollie :razz: also on one street there is a wall you can use so you dont go to far!

I know, I was using a wall but the back of the car wasn't swinging round far enough.
What was stupid though was when I finally got 100% the car was less straight than it was when I got 99% or even 87%.

Lol. Yeah I saw they've got new trophies for the next map pack before it's even released. :lol:
At least I still get to keep my platinum even though I've gone back down to 85% again.
Some of the new trophies look like they could be quite a challenge to get as well

I swear I got a trophy for that. Took me about 10 mins to get it right. Have they released the new island yet?

GAH!! I *HATE* Those terms - they're SOO meaningless. Nowadays they're just used to describe "games that geeks on gaming forums like"

Okay - you've used the term "hardcore" - now i'm going to jump on you and ask what you ACTUALLY mean by that?

Do you mean "violent games that people like you on gaming forums like" or do you mean "any game which challenges you".

For example : Personally I classify mario games as the height of hardcore gaming experience, definately NOT the sort of game your mum could play. But most gamers dismiss it as being "casual" because of the graphic style.

Just trying to understand what you mean by "hardcore" exactly - because there are LOADS of "hardcore" games on (And coming to) the wii - and not just the ones you mentioned.

imho - Its just an excuse for gamers on forums to get snobby about games and say "well that's not worthy of my attention as it's not Hardcore"

- where 99% of the time they just mean "I dont like games which arent shooters or racers"

Hardcore = any game that challenges you and is well-made and doesn't rely too much on a gimmick. Granted the Wii is gimmicky in itself.

Casual = any game that is shovelware gullible people buy, extremely dumb gimmicks, and generally pointless. For the past few months I keep yelling at friends that own Wiis buying crap games like "Party Carnival Games 9000" that have atrocious graphics and sound, horrible controls, and they only buy it "because it has beer pong on it, lollll." Oh, and Wii Fit...

To be honest, I also felt really kicked in the nuts by Nintendo at E3 2008. Granted that last year's E3 was "serious" and this is normally when more of the general public's attention is focused on video games. Last year's presentation was terrible with some mom on stage going "Blah, blah, blah; puppies are cute, hurt my wrist, beat my boss." Then games like WII SPORTS RESORT, POKEMON MYSTERY DUNGEON, pokemon platinum, grand theft auto chinatown wars, WII MUSIC (note the all caps games are the one's the general public would eat up while the lower cased ones are games gamers would easily snap up). Then the finale, showing off what was a cool concept back at E3 2006, Wii Music, and turning it into the worst rendition of the Mario theme ever.

Since the same soccer mom is going to be on stage pimping out Nintendo's charts and WII FIT PLUS again this year, I'm going to be disappointed.

The island is released on june the 11th and i for one cant fricking wait i still to this day totaly love burnout and have all the updates still working through the cops and robbers trophies at the moment but if you go look at the trophie list there are loads for the new island im really looking forward to it.

On another not Infamouse is the shizel lol ita totaly blew me away im loving it the climing is just so fluid and it all just works so well. Got guitar hero mattalica to as im a fan of em and have to say quite awsome to loving that aswell

@Burnout lovers: Cant blooming wait.. just got my elite license, and have completed every ramp/billboard/smash in the game - so the timing is perfect for me.
