RCT3 Help, Information and Requests

i've noticed on peoples RCT3 projects that they have been able to create more realistic supports (like kimahri's Sagittarius). How is this done? Is it on an expansion pack I don't have?
 
^It's custom supports, or Pumper SteelWorx to be more precise. Try Googling it. Basically, you download extra scenery that can be put in your game, (usually) regardless of expansion packs. We have a guide for it in our RCT3 section here on CF.

As Erl said they were custom scenary and that specific set was called Pumpers Steelworx.

Another good set to use is Moby's Steel Jungle.This Set comes with both Supports, Flanges, Support Knuckles and Caps. It's also more Flexible Than Steelworx.

No, you have to convert them to something call and OVL File.

After a quick look I've found a Begginers Tutorial on how to make Custom Scenary.

Since RCT3 got wiped 2 years ago I am re-installing.

Does anybody have the direct links to rocks custom scenery and also the water fountains?

Ive always had problems with CS
I don't think my PC has that folder for CS under the RCT3 folder
Can somebody help please?
 
Sorry to double post, but does anybody know of any table/chair sets for RCT3. If you know of one, I would be greatful if you had the link :--D

Here is where you go.

My Computer
C:/drive
Program Files
Atari
Roller coaster tycoon 3
Go to the File named "Style"
Then The file named "Themed"
Finally put all your RCT3 Custom Scenary in there.

Note: Put them in one at a time then test to see if the game crashes and you get a No Sid for Svd or something similar. if that happens deleat the CS and then Re download and put it back in there again.


Sorry to double post, but does anybody know of any table/chair sets for RCT3. If you know of one, I would be greatful if you had the link

To do the Chairs they way he did just get a pat and don't connect it to anything, place your chairs round it and then just connect the path. For some reason the seats won't be deleated. If anyone wants a more details explination just ask.
 
Sorry for asking another question - I'm just a little newb when it comes to CS!

How do you put something (text, picture etc.) into one of shy-guys billboards?

I'm not sure. I'm assuming you just do the same with normal Billboards.

Are you on Vista or XP and can you put pictures on normal Billboards?

I think it's F11 for pictures, F12 for video. Or F10 for pictures and F11 for video.

When you record video, the fram rate drops to about... Erm... Nothing!

So you're best reducing the resolution right down to speed it up. There's also a cheat for a flying camera and path system to let you do fly throughs of your park - I've only briefly played with it though.

I've had a play about with Shy-Guy's Billboards. They work exctly the same as normal ones so I'm assuming that you're running on vista and the billboard feature not working.

Follow this tutorial on how to fix that. It does work.
 
The chair set you linked me to Kim, seems to have a notority.
I am scared to install it incase I get the infamous 'No svs for sid' or something.

No svd fir sid is not something to be worried about.

It just means you installed the set wrong. All you need to do when you get it it is to delete the set, redownload and put it back in.

Also when Extracting CS sets from a ZIP file or what ever, make sure you've extracted all the files.
