^No...

Can't remember which park Silent Hill 2 is being filmed at. I do believe it is abandoned though.

Go watch Hannah, the final scene takes place at some abandoned German park with a wolfs head on a train track. Looked pretty creepy imo.

Switching between the hideouts'...

Meet Dadi Park, a Belgian park opened in 1950 and closed in 2002.

This is this kind of ride that was there before the madhouses

Soooo sad!

What really gets me is how great coasters lay abondoned when they are in perfect working order and could be sold to a small park (eg pleasurewood hills)!

I think this ones quite interesting, it's a VERY old and unusual duelling Intamin rollercoaster that has never operated. The track is complete, however it doesn't have an electrical system, it's also quite large and features some really nice air-time hills.

It's remained SBNO since 1983: http://www.rcdb.com/1506.htm

I wonder if the ride is even structurally sound to operate IF someone were to come in and wire it up. 28 years is a long time to sit and not operate...

That was Intamins first large coaster. The park is full of strange creds, it was brought up a while back in the strange and whacky coaster topic.

A couple of those photos were good, others were boring :p The first coaster looked fun though!

It sucks that SFNO was left abandoned, but it will have one last shine in the light at least.

It will be featured in the new Pery Jackson movie. They brought in several flats due to them not being able to get them up and running, but they did get Mega Zeph running for one last circuit.

There's a lot of Disney rip offs in Asia.

Nara Dreamland was built right after Disneyland opened and had many elements that were directly copied: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nara_Dreamland

The unfinished one is outside of Beijing and actually doesn't look like a Disney rip off outside of the castle: http://www.theatlantic.com/infocus/2011 ... nd/100207/

There is also Shijingshan Amusement Park (also in Beijing) which made news because of copyright infringement on Disney characters: http://www.japanprobe.com/2007/05/02/di ... -in-china/

Not photos but a video.

If anyone remembers American Adventure you may find this video an interesting watch, quite sad though as it was a favourite of mine when I was a kid. :(
