English Football 2009/2010 Season

Refs have been shocking in all boro games this season, thankfully infavour of us though, the amount of times other teams have had stonewall penalties dismissed, and we've had soft tackles given as penas <3

I'm liking this non-premiership discussion group! :p

There's a cruel part of me that quite enjoys seeing Leeds suffer, so keep it up Spicy, hehe..

Haha me too, we try our best every year to keep them down

And yea N:I, Palace VS Millwall does need to be done again! I don't think you will go down although if we did go up, I would get alot of satisfaction seeing palace and charlton in league 1 while we are in the championship after all the stick I've taken from palace and charlton fans over the years!

And our season is effectively over down to yet another ****ing **** refereeing decision. ****ing fed up of this happening tbh.

Sounded to me more like you didn't take your chances.

We missed from a clear header and from about an inch out. Couldn't score in a brothel at the moment, and with the small matter of a Cardiff derby next up - oh good...

Have no idea who I want to win out of Cardiff/Leicester though on Tuesday! Draw is probably best.

It'll be really annoying if Liverpool finish fourth, despite having been shocking for most of the season.

Stupid big four dominance.

Well done to Soton, dominated from start to finish.

May have a shelf I could sell you to put that mediocre trophy on ;)

It's ok Dave, Southampton FC can afford to buy their shelves from expensive retailers.

Dave, I'm sure i've got some Mr Sheen and a duster I can sell to Pompey for their trophy cabinet

It was an absolutely fantastic day! Wembley is amazing, but I have to admit the score was very flattering on our half, poor Carlisle defending lead to our goals.

Hopefully some motivation for a final play-off push!

Also Lewis the Saints are going to walk league one next season, your squad is quality. We tried signing Lambert and Barnard but couldn't match the amount you were willing to pay them couldn't believe it when you signed Puncheon aswell, quality player!

I'd like to hope so! Pardew has done a fantastic job bringing in the likes of Lambert, Barnard, Puncheon, Fonte, Jaidi, Hammond etc. etc. I hope that Millwall get 2nd, that would shut the Leeds fans up. When I went to Elland Road earlier in the season they were singing "We're going to win the League!" but when they came to St. Mary's they were singing "We are going up!" :p

Took our first real chance and it was penalised for a shoulder barge. Would have had more time to get the second that was coming if it was given. Oh well, with the amount of rotten luck we've had in recent years I'm hoping for a huge period of good fortune coming up.

^I keep using that logic as I wait for Cardiff's ridiculous run of luck to expire - e.g. Leicester goal last night from corner disallowed for "not crossing the line" (rubbish), the Tax Man actually believing their crock of crap about US investment being imminent, etc.

Still waiting.

Well... Last night was a pleasant suprise...

And apparently investment may be closer for Palace then expected...

Hopefully it'll result in happy times...

What does Pierre think of the game coming Saturday?

Strong language below

****ing stupid Flemish bastard! Why get yourself sent off in a ****ing ridiculous manner, why stick your ****ing arm out, there was no ****ing need. Hope you enjoy sitting at home while your team is at Wembley!

Got enough ****ing problems with injuries not helped by that Flemish ****!

The German streak over ManU continues :--D , but I don't think they will beat Barca in the final. So I guess you know how I think the semis will go.

Double post, but wtf.
I can't believe no one is commenting on Fulham & the job they've done in the Europa League. Their series against Wolfsburg was the first time in forever that I was pulling for a German team opponent & I'll be doing so again against Hamburg in the Semis. I really hope they can go all the way & they deserve to after knocking off Juve & the Bundesliga champs, but the Cottagers will have it all to do as SV will be desperate to host the final in their home stadium. What a final that would be if Fulham off the Germans & the Reds knock out Los Colchoneros!

Fulham and Liverpool did very well! I'm pleased for Liverpool, as it kicks Man Utd fans in the teeth for saying they weren't going to win anything. Still in with a chance, only gotta beat Athletico Madrid! Be good for a all English Europa League Final!

In other news Portsmouth are at Wembley on Sunday! We are going to lose but I hope the lads give a good performance, we've got nothing to lose, I don't care if we injure a few, just I know Spurs won't want to risk anyone, still pushing for the 4th place (which they won't get ;))

I agree with Spurs winning on Sunday, but I think they'll also finish fourth. I hope no one gets injured either.

AAAAHHHHHH GET IN THERE! I am so happy! We were relegated yesterday and now were on our way to the FA Cup Final! Beating the yids 2-0 and watching that twitchy **** look miserable was fantastic! Didn't see most the game as our freeview box at work was broken, caught extra time at sports bar nearby. But well done to the players, amazing performance!

PLAY UP POMPEYY!!!!

Urgh, hate being a Spurs fan. During the game we did create a lot of chances and had a goal disallowed for some bizarre reason.

I'm very doubtful that we will finish 4th with our run-in now so the FA Cup is a big loss. To make it slightly worse for Spurs, we now don't have Palacios for the big games against both Arsenal and Chelsea.

Credit to Pompey though who battled hard and gave it there all throughout the game just one day after being relegated.
