It’s just for the closed season most parks close over the winter, emerald park just decide to keep the family stuff open slightly longer
I know this is Ireland however it is common practice for UK parks to close their thrill rides and only open a limited line up. Ireland is next to the UK and has a very similar climate to the UK.

Alton Towers are doing Cbeebies Land and Munity Bay only which are family areas.

Chessington is mainly family rides and the World of Jumanji.

Thorpe Park is completely closed.

Legoland closes quite a few of it's water and sometimes more thrilling rides but keeps a large number of family rides open.

Drayton Manor keeps Thomas Land and a selection of family rides open including Bounty, Accelerator and Gold Rush.

Paultons Park closes a small selection of rides however does keep Storm Chaser and Cyclonator open.

Blackpool Pleasure Beach keeps the majority of it's rides open until end of November pending maintenance and weather conditions. This year, they're planning to do February half term with Nickelodeon Land only.
