Would be cool if they would do some theming like this for the station

Djurs Sommerland posted this 'hint' on their FB page today.

Backs the theory about a JetSki Coaster model up. Off course this would be with ATV themed trains though.

Awesome!

To bad I'm traveling to Norway at the time of the announcement, with no internet whatsoever at the destination :(

"Juvelen"?

Nope, not "Javelin", but "The Jewel".

Seriously?

Yeah, the name is pretty weird. A Mexico themed coaster with ATV wagons gets the name The Jewel.. :S
I mean, I see the jewel in the picture, but still..

Coming from Intamin....looks kinda weak.

Interesting, but weak.

It's a family coaster, just because it isn't an Accelerator or sommat else like that, doesn't mean it's gonna be awful...

And considering the park, if they can get decent capacity on it, should be a fair addition... Looks fun anyways...

Besides.... AIRTIME...

Looks really nice, perfect for a park like Djurs

I know its a family coaster, doesnt change my view of it being weak in some manner.

It could be me accustomed to what they produce in America, but comparing that to Skull Mountain (or whatever it is called at SFGAdv), it seems weak (lack-luster maybe is the better phrase).

Even comparing it to other Family coasters (Skyrocket, Manta@SWSD and Verbolten), it is lack-luster.

Re: Djurs Sommerland | Unknown name | Intamin (launch?) Coas

I know that a few British parks look towards Denmark for inspiration, so if Djurs thinks a launched coaster is suitable for a family park, then it might encourage some UK parks to be a little more adventurous when building family coasters.

I think Jewel looks like a cheap thrill and I wouldn't expect anything less.

Oh, it also pokes another certain Scandinavian park in the eye - Liseberg will no longer be able to claim that Helix is the first double launching coaster in Europe.

For those who are interested, I've put English translation annotations on the video:

It looks cheap, but this little baby goes for 9€ millions.

I like it, but when I was hoping for a mini-cheetah hunt it's a bit disappointing.
But I think that maybe the theming is gonna make up for some of that disappointment.

The only thing cheap here is the animation though, I think it's gonna look a lot more elegant and aesthetic once it's up and running in real life!

I'm gonna visit Djurs Sommerland on january 25 for a construction tour.

I found this article, with a picture of a model of the ride, with theming, and a picture of a car, but I can't view it, does it work for you in Dk?

Ah, this is a translation break-down. The term "cheap thrill" is nothing to do with cost but means "something that is exciting but does not give real satisfaction".

Actually the park's CEO told me that they should have started vertical construction by then.

^^ It appears you have to log in and pay, wtf. But I did manage to snap this picture from the frontage, - looks like there's a video, damn I want to see it now!

I'd say €9m is a very good price considering how long the ride is.

Looks fun, and very much focused on speed, which I like. The Intamin LIM launches are very week though.

I love the look of it and the train looks awesome. I'm intrigued to see how much theming there will be around the ride once it opens.

The article appears to be open for paying submittors only. "Log in to view", it says.
