With the parks being closed during Lockdown 3 I decided to finally get round to making a recreation in Planet Coaster. In the days when RCT3 was king, I used to do almost nothing but real life parks, but for some reason or another I find them more difficult to do in planet coaster, whether it's the unrealistically huge scenery pieces or the better graphic quality which shows up more of my flaws, I have been sheepish about doing them, but I thought of nothing better so I just did it anyway. I did post this on the Coasterforce chat a while ago, but I'd thought I would share it on here in case anyone is interested.

There is something so satisfying about inverts doing vertical loops. Ignore the cliff, It's the edge of the park's map.

Wicker Man - yeah I didn't go to the lengths as others on big bob, for the sake of sanity, skill set and frame rate.

I've always been the other way round - doing park (or ride) recreations in RCT or NL has never appealed to me. Perhaps I would get too frustrated in the details.

That's an impressive go at Towers, though! It looks easily recognisable and has all the stuff that makes Towers stand out. The screenshot for Rita in particular is great. Good work all round, I say!

Impressive work @Thecoasterrus! Looks great, and surprisingly true-to-life considering it’s built in Planet Coaster!

Out of interest, what ride types did you use to build Thirteen and Runaway Mine Train, as the game doesn’t have a drop track coaster or powered coaster?

Great work, though; you’ve definitely managed to recreate the rides with greater accuracy than when I’ve previously tried to recreate some of them!

For Thirteen I used the S.L.V coaster, I was going to swap out the trains for the Intamin giga ones, but I think the game didn't give me that option so I just went with the original trains. For the drop track I built a steep 180 dive and a helix underground with a super sharp turn back to the station, so that the rider doesn't see this I used the camera effects and triggers to black out that section of the ride, so you get similar visuals to the real ride. I would post a POV, but I think the frame rate would be too poor, not that it's really huge in MB, but my computer isn't high spec by today's standards.

The Runaway Mine Train was tricky because of the lack of a powered coaster, I was tempted to go with the SLV again because of it's curved lift hills, but in the end I went with the mine train in the game. I lowered the fiction to almost nothing and I used a 7 car long train so I wouldn't need much of a lift hill on the upward helix. It's the least realistic recreation in the park, but what can you do?

I also recently put in my own spin on Alton's new fairground rides, I did this before the names were announced, so the rides and names aren't the same, but the idea is there in some form. (These are not in the download link)
