I'd do exactly what the original poster said, buy a kick-ass roller coaster for a lesser known British theme park (or two), purely to fire a rocket up Merlin's greedy, corporate ass. Something BIG! Preferably something wood. Maybe one of those RMC creations that look so awesome. You know... something that all of us Brit goons are crying out for, that Merlin steadfastly refuse to provide.
More importantly, I wouldn't 'invest' the money, it would be a free gift, a donation, a Christmas present to the British people. If necessary, you could retain ownership of the ride hardware so that in the event of the park going tits-up, or being taken over by some corporation, the ride isn't shipped off to fecking China!
