    Enthusiast Annoyances

-Overly critical enthuiasts: I don't mind hearing someone's general criticism of a coaster/park, but when someone is critical to the point where they can't have any fun at all, it may be time to find a new hobby. -Enthuiasts that think the parks owe them something: Just because you visit the...

Describing your interest in all things coaster to people?

Re: Describing your interest in all things coaster to people When I have conversations about coasters with other people, I usually don't go too far in depth because I don't need everyone thinking that I'm super nerdy, plus they'll get bored if I talk about them for too long.

Your (stupid) pre-coaster enthusiast thoughts on Theme Parks

Re: Your (stupid) pre-coaster enthusiast thoughts on Theme P I used to think that inverted coasters (or "hanging coasters" as I used to call them) were the only coaster types that were thrilling. Glad those days are over.

How do you deal with the offseason?

The offseason is here once again, and it's really dragging along. Even though I try to focus on my other interests over the offseason, it's still a depressing time of year. Watching POVs, playing RCT3 and NL, and visiting coaster sites help a bit, but none of those can hold a candle to actually...

    Your favorite underrated ride(s)?

Wild Thing at Valleyfair seems to be a hypercoaster that most enthusiasts don't like, but I think it's a lot of fun. It's second hill gives some great floater airtime, and the figure-8 section has some pretty good positive G-forces. I just wish the mid-course from brakes weren't so strong.

    Morgan Hypercoasters?

I was just wondering what the Coasterforce community thinks about D.H. Morgan hypercoasters for those of you that have ridden one. Personally, I have only ridden Wild Thing at Valleyfair, and I while think that it is a very fun ride, it falls short of the quality of B&M hypers. Wild Thing has...

    Which Coaster "Kickstarted" Your Interest?

My first big roller coasters were Dragon Challenge (both sides) at IOA, and I really enjoyed them, but it was probably either Manta or Kraken at SeaWorld Orlando that really started my coaster obsession.

    Unsafe/dangerous rides and coasters

Well, before I was an enthusiast, all roller coasters made me fear for my life, including small ones. Now, none of them actually scare me, but a few coasters with poor maintenance did feel a little concerning.

    Roller Coaster Tycoon 4 discussion

Re: Roller Coaster Tycoon 4 - for Apple Devices Only Very disappointing. If RCT4 comes out on PC, it had better be better than this. Until then, I'll stick with RCT3 and NoLimits.

Are Vekoma SLCs really that bad?

I personally have never been on a Vekoma Suspended Looping Coaster before because so far I have yet to visit a park that has one. Based on what I've read over the internet, SLCs seem to be put in a negative light by most people. Are they really as bad as everyone says they are? I'm pretty sure...

How to add more trains to a coaster in NoLimits?

    That worked. Thanks.

How to add more trains to a coaster in NoLimits?

I know it sounds like a dumb question, but is there a way to add trains to the pre-built coasters on this game?

    Future of Wooden Roller Coasters

Up until recently, wooden roller coasters have seemed to stay the same over time, while steel coasters were always progressing. Now, we're seeing newer innovations on wooden coasters such as overbanked turns, cable lifts (El Toro), and barrel rolls (Outlaw Run, Hades 360, and soon-to-be...

    Guilty Pleasure Coasters

Intamin Impulse Coasters. I honestly don't why everyone says "it's only an impulse coaster". They can be really intense and exciting.

Coasters that you'd love to experience backward

A B&M flying coaster backwards sounds cool. I wonder how a backwards pretzel loop would feel.

Does anyone else think airtime is overrated?

First and foremost, I am not at all saying that I dislike airtime. I do like some good airtime, but I honestly don't see why most enthusiasts go absolutely crazy about it. From my point of view, it seems to be the thing that makes or breaks a coaster for at least half of enthusiasts. It is an...

    Underrated Amusement Parks

I think most of us have been to one. There are some parks that I didn't expect much from, but when I got there, was pleasantly surprised. For example, I had a lot more fun on the coasters at the Disneyland Resort (Space Mountain, California Screamin') that I thought I would. What amusement parks...

The General Public and Wooden Coasters

I'm sorry if there is already a thread about this, but anyway, I feel like the general public views wooden roller coasters as rickety, old, unsafe, dangerous, and about to collapse. This doesn't make sense to me, as they are just as safe as steel coasters. Most of this hate seems to go towards...
