I'm really not a gamer (the most current console I own is my trusty N64!), but my top 5 games would probably be something like this:

5. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2
4. Grand Theft Auto IV
3. Roller Coaster Tycoon
2. Perfect Dark
1. Mario Kart 64

Honorable mention: Pokemon Gold version, Super Smash Bros (N64), Rogue Leader (Gamecube), and NBA 2K12 (Xbox 360, by far the best sports video game I've played.. way better than Madden, and I'm a much bigger football fan than basketball fan)

5. LEGO Star Wars (and any subsequent LEGO game <3)
4. Oblivion (really disliked the lack of depth to the previous so-called "open-world" Elder Scrolls games)
3. Formula One 1997 (redefined racing simulation games and provided the basis for the physics engines in Gran Turismo and Forza)
2. Crash Bandicoot (Naughty Dog <3)
1. Pokémon Red/Blue (rocked pretty much everyone's socks)

Ooooo, tough one. I don't play a massive amount of games but the ones I do I tend to stick with for long amounts of time.

Sonic 2 - (One of the first games I owned)
RCT (any of the series really, particularly 2 though)
SimCity (I always ran out of cash within a few years but loved it nonetheless)
Kingdom Hearts (Disney <3, epic story <3, Fantastic musical score <3)
Batman Arkham Asylum/City (Sorry I couldn't choose between them because they are both superb)
