Top 10(ish): 2025 Edition - page 129

Only six new creds this year and only one made my Top 25. Bobcat exceeded expectations, Fireball is a joke, Xolo Loca is a hamster wheel, Penguin Trek underwhelmed, and Phoenix Rising was a blast (surprisingly), but it's been a long time since I've enjoyed any coaster as much as Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind.

New explained

Hyperia: Its a great coaster with those first big elements being fantastic, however i think it shares a lot of similarities with its neighbour Phantom, big, beautiful, forceful but....well you know.

Left the list

Nemesis: was ahead of Stealth but after its transformation, i dont know, it just did not have the same kick and was a bit bumpy, coming away from Alton i think i preferred Wicker man so it leaves the list for now.

Out of curiosity, how are you able to rank things you don’t know if you’ve ridden? Surely if you can rank them, you’ve definitely ridden them, no?

Or am I missing something here?

Apropos of, uh, nothing in particular, here's my Top 10 for the year:

1. Helix, Liseberg
2. Expedition Everest, Disney's Animal Kingdom
3. Balder, Liseberg
4. Formula Rossa, Ferrari World Abu Dhabi
5. Piraten, Djurs Sommerland
6. Swarm, Thorpe Park
7. Dragon Challenge, Islands of Adventure
8. Stealth, Thorpe Park
9. Valkyria, Liseberg
10. Den Aller Minste, TusenFryd

The only change from last year I posted it (2022) is slotting in Valkyria at Liseberg near the bottom, and figuring out that, in retrospect this year, I prefer Stealth over Nemesis Inferno after all (that heckin' launch, those damn restraints, respectively). #10 remains reserved for a bit of a laugh, although that coaster is no longer with us and I'll eventually have to reconsider how fun it really was, when all is said and done.
 
Here's how my Top 30 is looking after a couple of trips to the States in 2024. X2 entered at Number 2, Wildcat dropped a few places, Orion just missed out on the top 10 and SteVe entered at a (comparatively) lowly position of 30 😂

Only real top 10 change in 2 years is Hyperia in and F.L.Y completely dropping out... (Based on rides this year) Tempted to move Voltron up based on just the good rides I had, and ignore the very rough rides, as by all accounts it's fixed now (and just a little rattly.) But I don't think that'd be fair until I've ridden it again. Kondaa didn't make top 10.

I need to update my sigs etc now :/
