17. Silver Star, Europa Park
However, after riding it six times over the last couple of days, it was much smoother (My Dad said it was almost as smooth as it was in its first few years of operation) and the airtime was sublime. 'Strong floater' would be the best way to describe it and while I'm more of an ejector fan, it was still beautiful <3. With that being two visits where the trims haven't been used and its popularity seeming to rise over the past few years, I am almost certain that the trimming is a thing of the past on Silver Star and it is now performing as well as it was always meant to.
I'm happy to see this, I didn't ride it when it was trimmed but keep hearing that as a reason why it's not well loved, whereas the last couple of years that I went there it was easily the best ride in the park, which is saying something due to Blue Fire.
It still sits proudly in my top 10, not for too much longer, but it deserves it at the moment.

^ Just wondering, what makes Cannibal so good? The first drop looks immense but other than that it looks dull and just full of inversions.

Better than Outlaw Run? I mean, the drop looks marvelous, but as Taylor said it doesn't seem to do much through the rest of the course.

Re: Top 10: 2013 Edition

I just like everything about it. Besides the incredible drop - the themeing is great, the Immelmann is immense, the Lagoon roll is unique and its buttery smooth. I even like the way the elevator tilts as it ascends. It just pushes all the right buttons for me and rides like every Gerstlauer EuroFighter or Infinity coaster should.

Now for the real surprise. Who would have thunk it, but Coaster is just so good.

^I've ridden Coaster, but it was a good 8 or 9 years ago and sadly, I remember very little about the experience. Does it ride similar to Phoenix?

Re: Top 10(ish): 2015 Edition - page 27

Not really. Your butt is out of the seat for much of the ride, but it's not sustained airtime like Phoenix. It's much more ejector and almost throws you out of the car. It also has the original trains that don't use seat belts and have a lap bar that definitely isn't in your lap. :--D

Kärnan is really ferocious <3. Easily one of the most aggressive steel coasters I've done and that mixed with speed and airtime makes it a fantastic ride. I also loved all the indoor bits, which gives it an edge over some of the other coasters in my Top 10. Can't imagine how great those bits will be when the theming is finished!

Colossos (Heide Park) almost sneaked back in at the bottom of the list, but all the juddering does tarnish the experience a little.

^ Wow, is it really that good? I've heard mixed about it, ranging from excellent (yours) to those that describe it as juddering and disappointing. I wonder what will I think of it when I get to ride it next year. I usually like Gersts, so I am kind of looking forward to it. :D

Re: Top 10(ish): 2015 Edition - page 27

^ I think it's definitely going to split opinions. I had purposely not read any reviews, so I could go in with a more open mind and I was genuinely really impressed by it. It's not going to be a 'universally' loved coaster like Shambhala or Helix (or I doubt it will be) because there's too many things about it that may be controversial. It's a bit rough yeah, but I thought it could have been a lot worse and I didn't think it detracted from the experience to be honest . I'll hopefully get round to doing a report where I should cover it in much more detail, but to put it bluntly, it's incredibly thrilling and left me giggling in awe of it all the way out the exit. It stands out and that's why it's in my Top 10. Exceptional ride.

I'm actually quite looking forward to riding Karnan in a few weeks, just because the bit in the tower looks amazing <3

I absolutely loved the bit in the tower. Easily the best vertical lift I've done and the twisting drop is phenomenal. You float out of your seat all the way down and it's just such a great feeling <3.
