Sorry for the double post, but the construction team have begun installing the lifthill chain.

They have 10 days to paint samurai, they better get on with it as that looks horrendous.

Those grey patches look like primer over a rust repair to me. Looks like they're preparing for it.

So I measured my 6 year old in shoes this morning and he is 127.5cm. 2.5cm from riding this behemoth. With a bit of luck he'll be tall enough to ride by the end of the season (by which time he will be 7), still seems insane that a 7 year old could ride though!

Hyperia’s wings have been added to the front of the station! In the flesh it really is a monster.

I came across this on @thrilling_rides' Instagram story. Looks like there's a Mack train (that looks very similar to the Icon/Helix design) on one of Thorpe Park's new for '24 mugs. Could this be a small window into Hyperia's train design?

No I’m not, I’m sat at home wondering how long before they add trains and do a pull through!!!

Hopefully everyone has abandoned any silly ideas of an April opening now, so it looks like they’ll have time to get the area looking much nicer, before I do any free fall diving.

It really won't take long to landscape, pumping out that pond, turfing and planting trees/shrubs can be done quite quickly. I'd imagine that they'll line the pond and put some aggregate down to stop it from becoming a mud bath again too.

This is all work that can happen relatively quickly when ready.

I'm hoping we'll see plant delivery soon. Thorpe's planting is one of the park's strong points with lots of broad-leafed tropical looking shrubs, pampas grass than I've seen anywhere else and bamboo to hide stuff away.

Exactly, will take longer to do all the remaining coaster work, pull through, programming, testing etc, than it will to tidy up the area. Not much point in even starting on most of the landscaping and planting until there’s no longer any heavy equipment needed on site.

May? Aww man, that's ages away.
Some cheap holidays to Turkey about at the moment though, might just go and ride the one at Land of Legends instead. Can't be arsed waiting for this thing.
