What's new

The Thorpe reliability thread - 2009 edition.

So with any luck this Sunday I should be able to get on Slammer and Stealth, the 2 rides I have not done for over a year :)

Hopefully they'll both be open Marc.

I am there from Friday to Sunday and hoping nothing major will be closed, but I guess that may be asking too much of Thorpe.

Unlucky that SAW went down today.
Saturday they only tested Stealth twice, first time it didn't even make it half way up the top hat, 2nd time it crawled over.
Don't know how long SAW is down for, it went down today.

^Noooooooooooo. Saw better be open tomorrow. I'm not too fussed about Slammer, It'd be nice if Stealth opened.

I have read online that it is unlikely that SAW will be open tomorrow! :(

If it's down on Sunday I shall reeeeaaaalllly complain, not that that seems to do much but hopefully I can nab some more fast passes out of it. Glad to see Slammer up and running again though, they're probably trying to get their act together for the Easter Holidays, they're only two weeks away.

We were going to go down today but Stealth is still closed and Saw: The Ride is down too according to the Thorpe site. We are still going in a couple of weeks though. Josh is diabetic so we get to go on the rides before the gbp but I won't be happy if Stealth and Saw are closed then!

Well, there's always the rest of the year... If you can make it down there x amount of times in just a couple of weeks, what's stopping you from going in a few months time when everything is more likely to be open, instead of going now and being disappointed? :?

Just got back, Saw looks pretty terminal at the moment, Ewan wasn't best impressed. So don't be too hopeful for the weekend.

Slammer for the first time in literally years was running faultlessly today and loading was really quick for once!

Logger's was open and I'm sorry to report that there's no hidden B&M, so what the hell is it supposed to be hiding Tina?

And Stealth looks hopeful, it was launched 5 times later on in the day, all of which were fully successful (no creeping, straight over with no fuss). :p

So Thorpe's almost a full compliment!!! So hell has almost reached winter peoples

I'm glad to hear about the other rides, but there's not much point me going to Thorpe on Sunday as planned if Saw is closed, I've had enough of that palava

Haha. Saw's down again. I bet it'll be closed on Saturday as that's when I was planning to go again but probably won't now.

1. Where the hell were you today?
2. Stealth crept over and nearly rolled back twice, yeah, really straight over

Southend Marc is right, Peep was not happy. I will be writing a full TR in a min. Ewan was saying how they would probably have it fixed by this evening but tbh I couldn't see that happening as it only tested for about 30 mins and only with one car. I will be making another attempt at riding Saw on Saturday, I'm praying it's open.

Where were you? I was waiting by Samurai, but then got bored.

I saw Stealth launch 5 times towards the end of the day, all of which were decent
