I'm currently trying to decide whether to get very angry at Sony or not.
I joined Playstation Plus as it's a subscription service. So as long as you renew, you keep the games. It's hit and miss, but overall it's worth the £40 a year.
However, in October all my games stopped working and I found this thread on the Playstation forums:

There are quite a few people with similar problems. I contacted Sony and they gave me "we don't know, will call when it's fixed" stuff. They called back after a couple of weeks and said it's a "major issue". They offered a refund for this year's subscription or for me to wait. The refund is useless, it's not this year that is an issue but last year. By taking the refund it would be the same as not renewing. I renewed because I want the games from last year (and some from this year). That's kind of the idea of a perpetual subscription.
I offered to Sony that they could cancel my last years and just refund me part of subscription but keep my current subscription in place. Just £20 to cover the cost of buying the games I wanted - which I thought for fair enough and better than them giving me back £40.
They refused and it's still going on. The Playstation Plus subscription service doesn't work, they're not fixing it and won't negotiate. They've now also banned me from posting about it on the Playstation Blog
So my advice? Don't bother with PS+ (not that many of you would) and (as if you needed telling), probably avoid buying anything on subscription with Sony, they just can't handle it technically.
