Tallest: Kingda Ka - 456.0 ft
Fastest: Kingda Ka - 128.0 mph
Longest: T,ultimate - 7,442.0 ft - RIP
Steepest: Mumbo Jumbo - 112° - would be TMNT but I got spited 😢
Most Inversions: The Smiler - 14
Oldest: Scenic Railway or Jack Rabbit - 1920

Nice thread idea, the steepest and oldest coasters were a surprise, I had no idea on what my steepest was and I assumed just Scenic Railway was my oldest cred.

Tallest: Stealth, 62.5 meters
Fastest: Formula Rossa, really fast.
Longest: Formula Rossa, 2000 meters (or so - I have always doubted the accuracy of that number)
Steepest: Saw, really steep.
Inversiest: Colossus, far too many.
Oldest: No idea.

Out of interest, what makes you doubt Formula Rossa’s track length @Pokemaniac?

Not questioning you by any means, but I know the duration isn’t the longest, but surely the 150mph speed and element sizes that requires make the track length obscene regardless? In terms of layout type and size, it’s almost a slightly longer Rita (the big hill at the start and bunny hops at the end add additional length, and the figure 8 in the middle is similar), and that ride is 68ft tall, reaches 61mph and is a little over 2,000ft long. Rossa is 170ft (I think?) and 149mph, which given its speed and height boosts over Rita, as well as its duration boost, would make the quoted 6,500ft (I think that’s about 2km in imperial?) length make sense.

I wouldn't doubt the length of Formula Rossa. That thing is really long. Even though you will have already traversed half of it until you are fully conscious from that insane launch. Even though it's far from my top 10 it's still something so special that every enthusiast must experience.

Oh, I think it definitely is very long, but all the stats say it's exactly 2000 meters. I find that very unlikely. Anywhere between 1900 and 2100, sure, but not exactly 2000.

Similar to quite a few people:

Tallest: Kingda Ka
Fastest: Kingda Ka
Longest: The Ultimate
Steepest: Mumbo Jumbo
Inversions: The Smiler
Oldest: Rutschebanan
Just thinking through this and all the other answers - none of these record-breaking coasters are anywhere near my favourite coasters in the world, and I get the sense that’s true for most people.

The good news I guess is that it’s so cost-prohibitive to build longer, taller or faster so parks have to come up with other ways to attract guests. Sure we’ve had some nonsensical ‘world firsts’ from Merlin etc but I genuinely think as a trend coasters continue to get better and better, despite not breaking new records.

The only one of the record holders that I've done that is anywhere near a Top 20 is Formula Rossa (#18 for me). The launch and speed throughout that ride is genuinely stunning.

Kingda Ka is a worse version of Dragster (no lapbars and rough as hell), and the rest of the record breakers are hardly good coasters from a 'favourite coasters' perspective...

That’s true. I rode Kingda Ka a few days after TTD (my number 10, what a euphoric experience), and couldn’t believe how awful KK rode (not to mention the terrible operations too). Felt like half the screws holding the car together were working themselves out.
