Yes, and it has indeed been removed. But the "replacement" Star Flyer didn't go in the same spot.
It might also be worth mentioning that in its later years at Prater, they ran their first Star Flyer BACKWARDS!

The only one I have been on is at Plopsaland De Panne, amazing view & I gripped the front bar tightly. I'll ride em again. Brighton Pier should get one :--D :--D

I rode the one at SFSTL, the weekend ours opened, and it was cool, the second time I rode it though, I found it to be a very unnerving ride, and I was uncomfortable and scared the entire ride, I tried it once more and found I definitely didn't like it. if I had to make a choice between the Star flyer's and the Wind seekers, I would most definitely choose the wind seekers.
