SeaWorld Makes $3.4 Billion Offer to Acquire Cedar Fair

Well things just took a turn. It seems Street Insider (old school financial website) seems to have some kind of belief that Six Flags might try a separate takeover bid again of Cedar Fair, at the price of between 60 to 80 dollars a unit (share). Reminder SeaWorld's is at 60 a unit.

This is the article, but it is behind a paywall.

The full article is on r/rollercoasters if you want to read it for free.
Ok now this, no…screw off six flags

Never heard of centerbridge, so im not going to worry about them too much.

Why does everyone want to buy out Cedar Fair all of a sudden?

lol

While Centerbridge is not the biggest name, they have been around the block a lot. They use to run Great Wolf Lodge until they sold their interest a few years ago. Just because you haven't heard of a company, doesn't mean they are not large and don't have cash.

Does the Six Flags speculation actually have any validity to it or is it pretty much Wall Street hype-mongering based on precedent? Sounds more like the latter to me.
