There's been a few. Thunderbolt at Kennywood's a good example as is Lightning Bolt from MGM Grand Adventures.Has a significant track extension of a coster ever happened before? I'm struggling to think of an example. I remember seeing some info on a python plus project for efteling that never fully got off the ground, but I can't think of any others
Actually, I was reading about Python Plus just the other day! One prominent example that comes to my mind is Kennywood's renovation of Steel Phantom into Phantom's Revenge.Has a significant track extension of a coster ever happened before? This. They can also advertise it heavily as Finlands longest and possibly tallest with this. The gp will eat it up, and saying "Junker just got eeeven crazier" will drive the locals nuts.Maybe they're extending this coaster so that they can still have a new attraction, but without the high maintenance costs associated with running an additional coaster?
Wait they only run it on one car?!
I forgot to mention these markers in my trip report. Never would have guessed they would lead to something like this though.
Hope it will at least run the second train if it's longer.
They have two trains but on my experience they run two trains only on really busy days which makes the lines often on quieter days as long as on busy days.Wait they only run it on one car?!
