A well constructed comeback, thank you for your pictorial input.

I'm sure the theme park you're building with the million you're going to raise on Kickstarter will be so much nicer.

Absolutely, my friend!

I dunno, I just don't like it. it feels very stifled and contained in a cube. It feels like a cube and no matter how natural those rocks look, the overall feel feels unnatural. Great job on the rocks for a company who specialises in fish tank and home swimming pool rockwork. I'm just not sure about the overall feel just like Chiapas. Hmmm we'll see once its done.

^ Visit the park then you can take all that back, trust me.

I expect your amazing theme park to blow everything at Phantasialand out of the water then...

I also looked up the company - the website you found isn't them. It confused the hell out of me when I first found it. Like, why would the park risk going to this tiny company?? But weirdly, Universal Rocks don't yet have a website. It's under construction. They are on FB though.

I too think you're crazy to say this being contained in a cube affects it at all, BTW. I didn't think Chiapas felt contained in a cube when I visited, but, to give your point credit... A lot of Phantasialand, and Chiapas is a particularly strong example of this, feels like a bunch of façades backing onto each other. I love that park and think its one of the best immersive environments in the world and it does that with narrow impractical pathways, a confusing layout and tall intricate scenery that traps you in. BUT often a huge front to a ride, like Chiapas, just becomes another world on the other side, like pages in a book, and I'm not sure that's a good thing. It does sometimes feel too fake. The changes between lands are so sudden, I guess you could say defined so strongly by boarders they feel like they're contained within a cube. It's obvious why, though. Phantasialand are trying to do something mental with very little space. It's not perfect, but its damn incredible IMO.

I've never anticipated the full POV of a new coaster as much as this. Its such an amazing looking tangle of track surrounded by theming. We've all seen dozens of construction photos now yet the layout is still very mysterious... Its impossible to tell exactly what the layout will be because its covered in rockwork and its going to be such a long coaster, crossing itself many many times.

I really think this is going to be a hit and a world class coaster.

Umm, so I went to that Facebook page. Hardly seems like a company still specialising in just fish tanks. They started small and now they theme zoos and parks all over Europe, why does that make them a bad rock face creator? I say that's amazing, the work they've been doing looks great.

Joey, I love your comment about going from one area to another like the pages of a book turning.

Robbed from coasterfriends.de -

There's a rumour there might be a second cred...

I doubt it because it's gonna be almost impossible to put one in there now the track is pretty much done and the landscaping is massively advanced.

The rumours are for a Vekoma family coaster. Not sure how easy they are to install in tight spaces?

I'd always had it in my mind that they were putting in a Vekoma Junior Boomerang as well? I can't remember where I heard it now though, and can't seem to find a source..

If they do another cred in there though, it would be mighty impressive!

No there has been a rumour from the start that Klugheim would feature a Vekoma coaster! I doubt it however as they haven't even come close to finishing the track for Taron yet and the area is already packed. They also need space to build the village itself.

^I think you're mixing up this and Paulton's. They're getting the Junior Boomerang.
Ah yes, Paulton's and Phantasialand are very easy to get mixed up. I do it all the time.

If there does turn out to be a bonus kiddie cred, any credit whores who are going when this is all done are going to be spoilt! I think I might prioritise Phantasialand over Europa Park on my European hitlist when this is all done... It was already getting rave reviews and being called one of the best parks in Europe even before Chiapas was built!

While Europa Park is a more balanced park, Phantasialand will amaze you a lot more. It really has more of an initial wow-factor than pretty much any other park I've visited. I can't imagine anybody NOT getting impressed by it. Europa Park is much more subtle, it does everything well, but does nothing outstanding.

Shamelessly copied and pasted from my post on TST:

They're digging another hole!

See how deep the digger is in the hole

Looks like they're themeing the support bases too

Looks like the trims will hopefully be adjustable (to off, preferably)

Bit of overbanking

I do like a bit of side-to-side action

One of the mysterious rectangular footers that has sparked discussion about a second, smaller coaster being installed. Intamin uses the round footers already seen, and rectangles with only 4/5 bolts. However, Vekoma use this style on their family coaster. Apparently.

Finally, some station theme work

I can't wait. Even if the ride is pants, it's going to look beautiful.

All images from Phantafriends.de, not necessarily in the order I've posted them.

This ride is looking beyond belief, the more I see the construction images the more I get amazed. Looking at those other footers makes me think that the rumoured family coaster may be included in this, but I would hate to be the people trying to get the track in place for it. With Tarons track and theming everywhere it looks like a logistical nightmare.
However there looks to be an access area where they have not finished the rock work (6th image). Who knows though this is Phantasialand after all. They love shoehorning rides into their park.

Remember that it's germans were talking about... ;)
