I hadn't bought any new music for ages, was feeling very old, and so went out and did what I used to do when I was younger and bought a random CD by someone I'd never heard of.

Result! Sliimy is awesome!

Double post, sorry.

I've heard people talking about a band called You Me At Six for well over a year now, but I had never listened to them until about 3 days ago. They're actually amazing, and I'm in the process of downloading them right now!

A great find of a band :)

HOLY MOFO!

They are my favourite band of all time! You need to listen to Always Attract

Hellhole Ratrace - Girls

Recently discovered this band, through a friend's recommendation and the finding of their album promo CD for £3 in Crash Records, Leeds.
This song is probably my favourite, starting off like a slowed-down Elvis Costello, building up over seven minutes to an epic shoegazey ending, overlayed with a broken-hearted refrain.
I could listen to this all day. And I have :p

Biffy Clyro's new album Only Revolutions. It's been on repeat since I got it Monday, and it's bloody excellent!

It's still got the trademark Biffy guitars, tempo changes and mad lyrics, but wrapped around great sounding songs and cracking production.

Highlights are Bubbles, which has to be released as a single, and the gorgeous Many of Horror which has an awesomely written lyric that can be interpreted two entirely different ways, depending on how you interpret the first line.

This could be the first album of the year for me that properly delivers. 'Mon the Biff! :)

Oh, and the Robbie album is boring middle-aged ****.

New Stereophonics album next week. Here's hoping it doesn't suck.

I just got the album of 'Arash', a guy from Tehran, Iran. Most of the songs are really catchy, and he's full of himself, but I can't help but listen <3.

Here's one of the songs...

Innocent - Stereophonics From their new album "Keep Calm and Carry On"

Such an upbeat song about suicide. Only Kelly Jones can pull it off

I've been listening to a lot of modern folk/acoustic stuff lately, so I'm gonna post a few songs which have been on my playlist. The first band is the side project of Alexisonfire frontman Dallas Green, the second band's tune went into the top ten last year, and the last band have been getting a lot of exposure thanks to their current single.

City & Colour - The Sleeping Sickness

Noah & The Whale - 5 Years Time

"Thanks i've always wanted one of those.."

Did she screen that video for epilepsy first? I don't like the video mix of the song. And Gaga really doesnt add anything to the video.
