Kashmir

Orignially called Nirvana, Kashmir are a danish alterantive band who play a style similar to Mew, and Death Cab For Cutie. Im not recommending a single album becuase A. I have yet to hear them all, and B. I have yet to finish a full one[they're all very long with 14+ songs each 4+ minutes]

I just got Metallica's Death Magnetic album an hour ago. Initiall impressions are generally good it sounds like a cross between Master Of Puppets and The Black Album.

They have started doing thrash riffs again but there are slower moments too.

Better than St Anger (spits on floor) but not as good as the first 3 albums. I am just going to have to accept they will never be like that again. Since Cliff died Metallica as they were did too.

I hope no one's said this yet but I would recommend Sigur Ros to everyone!!!! EVERYONE in the world should listen to Sigur Ros. The main tracks that you should listen to are Untitled #1, Untitled #4 and Saeglopur. Also Hoppipolla, I forgot about that one!

I'd recommend As I Lay Dying to anyone inot the metal side of thing.
I just got An Ocean Between us after seeing them live and it rocks some.
Also, Damnation By Opeth
They are a more melo-death metal band, but this album is all acoustic and mellow folkier style songs with some great vocal and guitar harmonies

Glasvegas - Glasvegas

I got this album a couple days ago and I think its great. Okay Glasvegas' music isn't the cheeriest but its a must listen to. Be warned the songs are sung with a heavy scottish accent, so it may annoy some people

Personal favourites are 'Daddy's Gone' and 'Flowers and Football Tops'

^ Both very good bands. If you like the more melodic stuff listen to Bullet For My Valentine and Killswitch Engage.
Yeah, I like all of Opeth's stuff, but as a recommendation, most people would like the more mellow style to be eased in. I'm not a big Bullet fan either, I've seen them twice and they don't really do it for me. Killswitch are wicked though, I've seen them twice and the first time put me off cos Adam (guitar I think) was being a dick

Brian Welch - Re-bel. I tried posting this in it's own topic but it got removed understandably. But it such a damn good song I don't want it over looked.

The whole thing gives me the chills because it sounds like old school Korn again. Brian Welch was half of their creativity.

Lyrics

Mom and dad are not happy they fight every night - They can't even get

through just one day without a fight - Mom and dad don't notice me they

work six days a week - Sundays we all go to church but we don't even

speak - Re-bel ! - Re-bel ! - Your parents have failed you and I'm here

to tell you Re-bel ! - Re -bel ! - The world has abused you and I'm here

to choose you - My step dad he hates me so he hits me all the time - But

when we're around people he acts like we're all fine - My real dad he

left us all one day when I was four - Mom got drunk and told me that my

dad loved me no more - Re-bel ! - Re-bel ! - Your parents have failed

you and I'm here to tell you Re-bel ! - Re -bel ! - The world has abused

you and I'm here to choose you - The blood has poured out just like dust

- Just read the writing on the wall - You're so consumed with your lust

- You do not fear my word at all - It's time I break your family curse -

Of lies, neglect, abuse and shame - You'll have to give me your life

first - You'll never be the same - You're not alone anymore - If you

knock I'll open the door - Don't forget about the golden rule - Love me

with all your heart - If you give me just that one request - We will

never be apart - Your life it means so much to me - You've been abused

in every way - Everyone on earth has let you down now come try me -

They're breakin they're takin you down, they're - Willin to kill you

right now they're - breakin they're takin you down, they're - Willin to

kill you right now they're - They're(6x

^ Thats nice fitzy :|.

Moving on... Uh since I'm a touhou fan i'd recomend the music from touhou. I think its pretty good since the guy who writes (ZUN) is a bit of a drunk and does all the programming, drawing and shiz and still get yearly releases.

He did U.N Owen was her (which I dont find to be his best work)

Kings of Leon - Only By The Night

I must say, I'm blown away by this album.

Every track, in my opinion, is brilliant. Every song has a rather mellow flow to it and Caleb's voice just adds to the effect.

If your already a Kings of Leon fan, you'll love this. If not, you should still love this.
