Love it

second by far

BMG are an Ace band and totally overlooked.

I continue to laugh at your faliure in misunderstanding.

Blue man group is a show not a band

but they're ace as a band and as a show ;)

Metallica gradually get more <img> as the years go on. Just my opinion :--D

I've been listening to 30 Seconds to Mars - A Beautiful Lie recently. I sort of hated them at first but now I've grown to love the album, has some really good songs to sing along to. And the lead singer is in American Psycho, my new favourite film so it just keeps getting better.

Agree and AGREE

30secs are excellent live too. Seeing them on the 2nd in Birmingham and i can't wait.

Have a listen to Kill Hannah. They supported HIM last month and they were fantastic. So good that i ordered their two Albums :)

You're forgetting "Unwanted"

I happen to agree with nadjro123 about Metallica. They died after the Black Album.

St Anger had a couple of good songs on but that aside it is an easy album to dismiss.

Hearing their new song however has given me a little hope because it sounds like a cross between something from the Ride The Lightning phase and St Anger.

In a slight style shift, I just can't get enough of the new Kanye West song with Chris Martin from Coldplay at the moment. I think its the piano in it really, but i've always held Kanye in quite high regard.

I'm also struggling to dislike the new Britney Spears song, its just a bit too catchy for its own good!

Oh i'm sure he is, the whole hip-hop scene seems to be full of those people, the british one less so, but as far as his music goes, its music I can tolerate, and actually enjoy, a lot more than any other hip-hop out there, and he's a rapper who doesn't feel the need to go on about guns, bitches and bling all the time, which is a refreshing change.

Bedlam In Goliath - The Mars Volta

Bedlam.PNG

Can you say Epic Win? this CD is the epitomy of experimental rock music and one of Mars voltas best. Rather than the redculosly long songs we became acustom too on their previous best Frances The Mute the have 12 shorter songs (the longest being 9:32 compared to the longest on Frances being 32:31) the album is gapless although the songs can still be spereated and work well on their own in playlists. The songs are powerful and very full sounding and aren't simply Guitar/drums/bass/vocals. This could easily be the best album of the year.

The Story behind the album is one that is very unique. All based on true events the guitarrist Omar went to jerusalum after their third album was made. When he was around he bought this talking ouiji board like thing. As the band began to use it it referred to itself as Goliath and the band called it the soothsayer. Cedric (the lead man) began to take notes on what the soothsayer told them (they became part of the lryrics) however when the soothsayer (being old) began to fall apart they found poems about a love triangle (they also became psar tof the lyrics) and the soothsayer began to ask for offerings of switching places or it will set a curse on the band, Omar saw the only way to make it stop was to destroy the soothsayer was the bury it...and so the curse began to read more clickhere.

I give Bedlam in Goliath a 10/10 :)

YES! The Mars Volta are back! Hell yeah, can't wait to listen to this.

I've been listening to Enter Shikari's B-side album recently, very mellow and good to sing to. I like it for now.
