Master Thai - New double-coaster at Mirabilandia for 2011

Now this is what I call a sexy artists impression. No the artist isn't sexy (well, they could be I guess), but the artwork itself...

They've left the construction of this pretty late. It's due for a 2011 opening and we're already 4 months in and they're only doing ground work still.

Also the rumours are for a June opening , so either it's going to be a fast construction or a delayed opening.
 
Looks like a snappy little thing, like it'll really whip around the track.

Also, it's two creds, because coaster-count says it is ;]
 
It looks cool but I can't help but hope that odd giant colourful dog thing is not going to happen.

I hope they really start pushing construction of this, especially if they want to pull off theming that looks like that. Hell, Asterix has already received track and done lots of groundwork and their not planning on opening till very late 2011/early 2012*. Oh and Thorpe are to commence construction in May and that's not going to open till March 2012*. Come on Mirabilandia, sort it out!


*I am aware that due to the type of coaster they will take longer to build compared to Master Thai

Yeahm, but you said the same thing for Ben10 when they announced it! So if Marc says he thinks it won't be open, it will! :lol:
 
^Very good point, I did say the new coaster would be open this week in Southend though so that could be a bad omen lol :)

Coasters now days seem to get built very fast when parks put effort so lets hope.

And yes, the rumors about Ghostiville long ago turned into an attraction similar to Movieland Horror House are confirmed by chief executive Richard Head Park Wonderland "In the summer, then inaugurate the Horror House to be built on the ashes of Ghostville. We really believe in this project and we are sure will get the benefit of the public. "

Besides there are revisited Ghostville details for Master Thai , the delay in opening the new 2011 Mirabilandia was caused by the decision, in the course design, "reshape the tracks with TUV and especially outsourcing the work to the Studio Werner Stengel, which is a guarantee of enjoyment of the final result"

Good news also in 2012, as even here the rumors are confirmed, the investment that the park will make its next big attraction is the highest in the history of Wonderland and the attraction will get at least a world record!

So basically what I'm getting from this article is that they're rebuilding one of their indoor attractions at the same time but have only just decided this and now all their efforts are going into that rather than the coaster? I'm conufsed.

But OMFG at the talk of something exciting for 2012!!!1111!!!!*


I checked their forums, they seem to think they'll be getting a Mack watercoaster but then they did say that before this new nugget of info was released.
 
It'll definitely open this year (it's already on the park map) but when it opens is anyones guess at the moment lol. I reckon the actual track will be up rather quickly once it starts but if they still go ahead and theme it (which they better do!) that will take quite some time imo.

I'll keep checking their forums as they seem to be quite active at the moment in terms of posting updates.

Look at it this way, looks like there might be TWO new rides this year at the park.

Looking at the video for Ghostville, it would be pretty easy to do, good on them, I'd like to see the finished product!

CONSTRUCTION HAS FINALLY BEGUN!!!!!!!!!!!

The park has really taken their time but someone on the ParksMania.it forums posted a few pictures of track at the manufacturers site and then of supports going up at the park!!!! Time to get all excited folks.

Oh and as we noticed at Toverland last weekend, that random character on the plans is one of several characters part of a range of ice cream products from Walls. So it looks like this range of ice cream will be the sponsor of the attraction (the logo of the range also has an extremely similar logo to that of the ride). The ferris wheel already carries the Walls ice cream logo so they must be a big sponsor for the park.
