Few opinions from Florida, not going to bore you with details, you all know the rides all too well, these are just my brief opinions.
Iron Gwazi - About as good as I expected, top 3 coaster for me. Even more out of control feeling than Zadra, but Zadra still has the edge with that stall, better pacing and a better first drop.
Velocicoaster - Brilliant, pure brilliant, and a beautifully themed queue line and launch. Has some fantastic elements. Closest comparison is obviously Taron. It's got better elements than Taron, but they don't quite flow as well as Taron does, if that makes any sense at all. Taron has the better on ride theming too. It's a close call, but for me it's not quite got the appeal of Taron. That being said, despite the obvious similarities, it doesn't feel like it's trying to be anything like Taron.
Hagrid's thingymabob - I can't say anything that hasn't already been said... It's just bloody magical!!! If you're a Harry Potter fan prepare to get emotional and embrace your inner child!
Mako - Brilliant, better than Silver Star, not as good as Shambhala. Good sustained floater at several points, turnaround is a bit dull, and the trim brake bites hard. Very reridable.
Guardians - Absolutely blew me away, I was expecting to like it, but not nearly as much as I did... However, spoiled a little by the theming, or lack of it, in the last quarter (of the main layout.) What the hell is with that random globe on the floor, seemed hilariously out of place, had me in stitches.
Escape From Gringotts - This was probably the biggest surprise of the trip, I'd heard very little about it, and it's absolutely brilliant... Whole family came out of that ride absolutely buzzing, laughing and smiling... That's what it's all about.
Finally, it's not a coaster, but I don't care, Rise of the Resistance is worth the trip to Florida on it's own!!! I've never cried like a baby on a dark ride in my life, but this had me so emotional!!! We did a few rides on it during our trip, and got to experience different modes. All of them were great. I was a little worried that if we got the Kylo 'b' mode it would be a bit 'meh.' But it really isn't. We got that B mode on our 3rd ride, and it changes the whole dynamic, watching him on the window screen escape in his ship seemed so natural, and it took me a minute to realise this was a whole different mode. I honestly don't know how any dark ride is ever going to come close to this. Trully the most incredible dark ride, and a stand out, even in Orlando, the city of incredible dark rides!!!
