^ Now that would be something.

Hoping to make it to KI some point next week while traveling to Cincy to visit with friends. I'll do my best to have my DSLR in tow for some good photos - I'd love to capture some of this sucker at night with the lighting effect.

Sorry to post here so late, but here's the commercial for Banshee that I literally just saw a few minutes ago.

Sorry for the weird bit at the end. My mom yelled "THE Banshee!" because she knows how much I hate it when people say "the" before the ride's name when it isn't part of the name. :p

Banshee was quite good actually. Great power, very Alpengeist in the size of the elements, but smooth and unique. It did suffer as it was.. well.. in the open. And that trim didn't exist.. which was great.

Fantastic ride. Not a top 10, but definitely up there.

I suckered in and stopped by the park last night while traveling for work. Banshee is arguably the only roller coaster that looks good with overcast.

As for the actual ride: Best Cedar Fair B&M invert I have been on. The layout is unique, each inversion is very dynamic and varies in intensity and forces. And that first drop! Right now, I feel Banshee sliding in around #15-16 in my coaster count.

The aesthetic of the gravestones and station are also very well done. Admittedly, how the Banshee station turned out, a modern gothic theme, was what I had hoped for with Gatekeeper. Cedar Fair did very well on this one. The flyer-restraint-style also worked out very well for the roller coaster. There was noticeable slower load time compared to the old fashioned OTSRs, but I guess that is a tradeoff worth taking.
