Whether it'll ride good, I don't know. But by it's appearance, it looks great. It's a nice addition to Flamingo's quirky ride list and I'm sure I'll pop down there and ride it.

I thought the one in Malaysia was quite good. The one up in Canada, not so much. It's Italian, I guess the quality is all over the spectrum.

I liked the Volare I rode. It was scary and I enjoyed because it was. Plus, no headbanging and lots of near misses.

It seems funky, right up Flamingo Lands street. The park does need to spend a season on fixing up the park though. Some area's look fantastic, but then others are horrendous. What most people dislike about is the operations, but at least this ride doesn't stop in the station so the staff will have to be fast.

They tweeted another image the other day which I missed.

A bit off-topic but I'm more impressed with Flamingo Land's use of Social Media recently, as in they're actually using it. However, if they retweet the weather for York from Minster FM again I'll throttle the bastards.

Flamingo Land has come so far. I remember going to longs weekends away in the caravans with my family while I was younger. I remember the flying trapeze, magnum force, Thunder mountain, the Bullet, the old horror walk through, even the old ghost train. Ive not been since 2005 when Velocity was built. I really must visit and see how much the park has changed.

I really don't understand how that loading system works. Are you just held in buy the cage, or is there something else to keep you strapped down?

It's a strange train design. Basically, you stand on what's essentially a ladder as the train passes through the station, and a cage hinges down behind you to hold you in. The train then swings up into the flying position as you leave the station. It is basically just the cage that holds you in.

See http://rcdb.com/1711.htm?p=4043 and http://rcdb.com/1711.htm?p=4040 for better photos of the train design.

^ I'd argue that the cage is there to stop you falling out, but it doesn't really hold you in if that makes sense. The cage doesn't really touch you at all. It's more your own weight, combined with the body position, that's holding you in.
