Djurs Sommerland | Juvelen | Intamin Launch Coaster

Just like _koppen said, it appears faster than the virtual video. And from my opinion thank goodness for that. The virtual video of this ride made it look boring and not fun at all. But that POV has changed my opinion and it looks like a great family coaster indeed. Though, I do wonder why Intamin used tyres for a launch instead of LSMs. Anyway, it all looks good.

Neat. Certainly a bit more than I was expecting from this. When did Intamin start doing magnetic braking with horizontal pads?
On all tyre launch coasters.

Underwhelmed. Sorry about it.

I have no idea why they'd go with tyre launches at all; they're crap.

Ah then. The only one I've been on was Galaxy Express 999, and it's pretty hard to see anything outside the stations on that one.... And RCDB doesn't show the brakes on the other two.

Well magnetic launches is at least another million € on the price, not to mention the cost of operating the ride.

For this type of ride it's kind of pointless.

Looks like a lot of fun actually. Not spectacular but definitely something I think I'd enjoy. Rolling launches are always a plus.

Official opening is on saturday and I've been invited to attend.
I expect to bring back a lot of pictures and videos, and of course a trip report for you to enjoy!

The park has posted a picture, showing just how impressive and detailed the theming on the outside of the pre-show building is!

Brought a GoPro yesterday, here's the result.

Oh and a POV of Juvelen!

Looks really nice, though with a little bit of "left hand syndrome". Apart from five short turns to the right, all it did was going left for most of the layout.

Still, not much one can do to prevent one direction from being "favoured". It's supposed to complete a loop after all.
