To be honest, whilst the layout looked better than any other dive machine, I'd be hoping for something a bit different. Just like Sheikra, it's a bit 'slow', and yet again a bit of a one trick (done twice) pony. Instead, I feel a layout more focussed on speed and airtime, with a few good inversions and helices, just like a larger version of Blivvie's Italian Cousin, would be much better. With small trains, Dive Machines could just be so much better!

It does look really possible for it to happen.
On top of that (false) image, someone else posted a shirt that is being sold near the front gates that seemingly has a Dive Machine coming out over the 'r' in Cedar Point. Now, the trains are far enough away that it could just be a rendering for Rougarou that was used, but it is still suspect enough.
Idk what to make of it.

Well, from what I have gathered, the shirt is real as it has been seen by several people, apparently throughout the park (the above photo was taken at Park Plaza or whatever the place is near Ocean Motion).
Looks like Ill be adding in a goon shirt to my wardrobe finally.

Oh I know all how the chain parks blatantly use the other parks in their merch, but Cedar Point has pretty much stuck to what it has from what I have seen, especially one that touts their major attractions names and images. So Ive always given a little leeway in what shirts they produce.
Even when they have used stuff from a sister park, it has never been something that does not exist within the chain.

My friend Alex who works/lives there snapped some photos, including some of the blue supports on site!
While it's been established that this wasn't peoples' first choice for what the park gets, you have to admit the colors are unique and should look really nice on the skyline.

September 11th from 7pm - 11pm will be Roller Coaster Appreciation Night! Where they celebrate their, past, present and future of their coasters. Cost will be either Free if you have your 2016 Season Pass, or just a mere $18 to experience this event. Only the coasters will be open mind you, so all the folks who have yet to nab Wilderness Run may be able to get it.
Ontop of that, upon exiting you will recieve a poster (or something) PLUS you get to try different foods that will be set up at each respective coaster!
Plus, WE GOT A HINT YO!

Something just posted to the CP Alumni Facebook Group - Cedar Point's case proposal to the FAA for the building of a new structure. Notice for the structure height, 230 ft. is given.

At first I was a fan of the colours, but after seeing them yesterday in person and next to each other, I'm not sure I'm such a fan anymore. Still, better than another red coaster I guess!

^^I happen to agree slightly. I thought the combination was so unique and striking at first and I loved it, but after seeing it up close yesterday it was just kind of, "meh." Still like it, though!
So yesterday I was kidnapped to Cedar Point by my friend Andrew and I was able to get an update!
Track is being stored in the grassy plot adjacent to Hotel Breakers on the side away from the causeway. There's a small chain link fence that can easily be evaded when photographing
We had straight, concave, and convex pieces here, nothing that looked terribly twisty.
That one piece at the back seemed to have an unusually sharp angle. I doubt it's the holding brake though as I didn't see hardware cut into it. It was hard to see, though.

Plenty of pieces for the transfer track and maintenance bay.
I'm guessing that's station or final brakes there in the back with the wheels. Along with the only twisted-looking pieces on site.
I'm guessing these thicker-looking concave pieces are the bottom of a drop/start of a loop.

CP seems to have gotten a smidge assertive here, blocking off the former site to the coaster wall with two temporary queue rails. It's almost as if they have something to hide.
But if it's this crane, try harder next time!
I took to the other elevated area by the Luminosity stage to get pictures but I couldn't get my phone up very high because I stupidly forgot my selfie stick.
New for Cedar Point in 2016...the only hillbilly trailer park at a Cedar Fair park!
Markers (look below the tree branch) and some more equipment!
Groundbreaking coming up? I can dig it!

Announcement is tomorrow morning as Matt said above! Not terribly excited with this (that's hard with a new RMC opening at a park that's closer to me ) but it's a new cred and a new cred in my home state at that, so I can dig it. I do expect it to be pretty good for a dive machine. Right now since we're all but certain on the name, layout, theme, colors (certain on those), type, manufacturer, and scale, I think the big surprises tomorrow are going to be how they execute the theme, if anything was changed, and those much-debated VR headsets.

Not in the front row, definitely, but in the rear rows where you don't get the full "dive" experience and the waits are really lopsided I think it might be a good way to get people back there in addition to making the ride unique. Going up the lift with the massive wings of a Valravn flapping overhead and then holding you face-first over an ocean full of viking boats before diving down and soaring over a massive battlefield would be sick.
