Bling advertised for sale

do not know yet. but it is for sale as we have to keep adding new attractions

So, they have to sell it to make room for new attractions, but she doesn't know if they're getting a new ride?

I smell a FOUNTAIN coming on!

Bling is a pretty small ride on a large patch of space, it might well be obstructing something that they have planned for that space which could be one of the reasons why it's up for sale.

I will be surprised if anyone does want to buy it though, especially when a travelling model is cheaper to buy.

In a way, I'm kind of glad that they're getting rid of it, whilst I love the ride with all my heart, it's just that, I don't know, that whole area looks SO tatty.

The "path" doesn't really go anywhere now that the South Entrance has been spited does it? You could get quite a lot there.

People keep saying it's a small ride in a big area, really? Isn't it... in the path?

Nope, Bling is a small ride in a big space;

They used to have a coaster in that space, so it wouldn't surprise me if they see Bling as something which is obstructing that space being used.

Well I'll be damned, that is a huge space between Big Dipper's track and the path that leads to the bridge.

El Loco is, despite how much I absolutely hate them, a an absolutely fantastic idea for Blackpool. They need something else that goes upside down, thats for sure. I've been thinking a small looping launched coaster would be pretty good for them, but where it would go I don't know. Revolution could probably go, because it only gets queue due to poor capacity. I'd miss it a bit though.

I agree that an El Loco would fit in well in blackpool and would fit nicely where Bling is.

Another Idea is to get rid of some of the buildings along that path and then possibly remove/narrow the path and a decent coaster should fit in there nicely.

Bling has been sold to someone/somewhere based in Germany and will never operate at PB again, and will be removed in November once the season is finished.

Pleasure Beach do have a replacement attraction planned, but they aren't telling anyone what it'll be. I have heard it is likely to be a ride, with a new seating area also built around that area, something along the lines of FY4, but not another fountain. ;)

In case anyone's still interested, the "new home" that Martyn B mentioned above is Skyline Park. It's now called Sky Jet. I actually had no idea (I knew it had gone to Germany, but didn't care enough to find out which park), so it was a nice surprise since I never rode it in Blackpool.

Anyway, have some pictures:

Loving it's new theming, the Globe is actually as random as the huge eye that Bling had, but, the orange gondolas <//3

It really bothers me that they didn't extend the rusted brown/grey theme to the gondolas. It's like Bling is trying to rebel against its new location, like "HA! LOOK YOU CAN NEVER GET RID OF THE TACKY BLACKPOOL ORANGE!". It does look a lot better now though...minus the orange eyesore.

I loved Bling, it's a shame that no other UK park has one of these. (I don't think they do...?)
