What is your favourite drop tower?

My definite #1 spot goes to Ikaros at Gröna Lund in Stockholm, Sweden, that straight down dive really does it and hanging at the mercy of your restraint. #2 spot goes to the 75m Moser gravity tower model (prev. known as mach tower) such as Kingi at Linnanmäki, the restraints are really loose...

    Six Flags 2020 Announcements

I think they're actually Funtime Vomatrons, Zamperla opts for shields instead of just spacing the gondola out from the axes.

Kings Island | Orion | B&M Giga Coaster

I'm just kinda confused why it has such a long and unnescessarily tall brake run? Would it really have been that much more expensive to add one little airtime hill and then a normal sized brake run low down or something?

Rides that you would like more if they had different restraints

I guess I should preface this by saying that Krake is the only B&M Dive I've done, but I would probably actually say the opposite? I haven't experienced vests on other dive coasters, but I feel I would actually enjoy Krake more with the vest restraints cause the seats are wider to accommodate...

    Most rerideable coasters?

You take that back ?? But that actually reminds me, Zacspins are some of the most re-rideable coasters for me, of course granting that it's less crowded of a day. No nausea no matter how many rides I've taken on Insane or Kirnu, no rattle so no headache, intense fun.

Rides that you would like more if they had different restraints

Any Premier coaster with the Sky Rocket trains. The restraints are awfully restrictive, uncomfortable and combined with the seats make loading and unloading a lot slower than it needs to be.

    Most rerideable coasters?

I agree about the force but there's a strange exception to this for me, and that is Kärnan. I kept reriding it all day (barely any queue, esp. later in the day) and I think I rode it 14 times when I visited, a large part of it back to back and had absolutely no issues despite it being among the...

Your favourite roller coasters built before 1990

Jetline @ Gröna Lund, no question. Next question.

    Last Cred Review

Hype I had been to Särkänniemi once before, but this was before the addition of Hype. This review applies to all skyrocket II's I presume for the ride experience itself. I can sum up the coaster with two words: kinda disappointing. Maybe it's because I had ridden Kärnan back in may, but it was...

    Your Least Common Opinion?

Heide Park is great. I feel like I see a lot more hate than love, while planning my Germany trip I was recommended to skip it and go only to Hansa, but I saw absolutely nothing wrong there. Okay, the staff aren't as excited to see you as say Hansa but that's only a problem if you're American...

Linnanmäki | Taiga | Intamin LSM Launch Coaster

Linnanmäki keeps almost all if not all of their rides open pretty much whatever the weather. A couple years ago there was practically a blizzard a couple days post opening and everything was open so I don't believe it'd be much different with Taiga (Although I haven't been there this year yet...

Walibi Holland | Untamed | RMC Robin Hood Conversion

Haven't ridden an RMC yet but having ridden a Skyrocket I can say I would much rather have an OTSR. I mean not like the choice is exclusively between shin guards or OTSR, I'd rather have a maurer style lapbar for instance (which is the peak of feeling vulnerable imo, if you've ridden a skyloop...

    Dubious Claims

Six Flags claiming that Wonder Woman Golden Lasso Coaster is the world's first single rail coaster. Besides it not being the worlds first since single rail coasters have existed forever and there are others still running around the world, it's also extremely debatable whether or not raptor track...

Can a coaster ever be too smooth?

Yes, but only if the coaster also doesn't have any real forces, ala old loopers like Python at Efteling. After the retrack it's amazingly smooth yes, but you don't actually really feel anything on it anymore because they also smoothed out the ride experience. Otherwise no, so it depends. I...
