What's new

Walibi Belgium | Unknown | Gerstlauer Family Coaster | 2025

Possible train design? Or the abandoned one as we heard the word "speedboat" thrown around since the leak?
”Speed Boat” was the name shown in the original renderings, but those have been changed since. The shark theme may be what they’re actually going with.

Edit: I’m willing wager this is the entrance sign for the coaster which does say ”Shark…” something:

Given that the park did a social media post saying that sharks were sighted in the old boat ride, I imagine a shark theme / train is quite likely.
Good catch!

I think it just says "Shark", would fit with all the one word attractions in the park (Turbine, Pulsar,..) as well as the mythical creature/animal names:
-Vampire
-Kondaa
-Werewolf
-Cobra
-... Shark

I visited yesterday, shockingly for the first time ever. It really surprised me to see how short the queues for the thrill coasters were compared to Tiki Waka... Only coaster we waited a significant amount of time for was Tiki Waka (it was worth it!)

So I think another family cred is exactly what they need, and this looks sublime.

Popped to Walibi Belgium for the first time this weekend - I was quite surprised by how fantastic the 'new' areas are at the park, so I'm truly excited to see this pop up. The site is also truly enormous, photos just don't do it justice!

First making off video for Dock World

Some details:

* The whole Dock World project is already three years in development.

* Total cost of the project: 25 to 30 million euro.

* Dock World will not only include the new Gerstlauer coaster but also a new restaurant and shops.

* First support for the coaster will rise in the following days.

* The new coaster will be a total adventure for the whole family, but will also include 14 aurtime moments.

* Flashback, the Walibi logflume and Psyké Underground will get new and improved theming.

* First elements of theming are already installed.

Looks like it’ll be using LSM launches instead of tire drives
