my 2011 trips

My 2011 consists of three "trips"

1.) Opening day at Six Flags New England. I am getting a Platinum Flash Pass. (I also have a Six Flags Season Pass) I will get there early so I can be on the first train of Bizarro for the 2011 season (hopefully on the front seat)

2.) USA CF-Live "The Great Northeaster." It is 5-7 days with tons of great coasters. And...it is the Northeast where I live

3.) Ohio Road Trip: An 8-day trip to visit King's Island and Cedar Point. I have a Cedar Fair Platinum Pass. I will spend 2 days flying/travelling, 4 days at Cedar Point, and 2 Days at King's Island. The 4 CP days consists of a family day w/ parents, a roller coaster thrill day with a VIP Tour, a water park and Castaway Bay day, and a Challenge Park and Fun on the Water day. The 2 KI days consist of a roller coaster thrill day with a VIP Tour and a water park day.

Should be a lot of fun, and over 100 coasters

I'm still all over the place but here's where I'm hoping to go

1) I have my band trip to Houston/Galveston. I believe we may be going to the Schlitterbahn in Galveston and we're also probably going to Kemah Boardwalk home to Boardwalk Bullet, which may be epic.

2) I really hope to go to the US Live and cuddle with all the people I want to and maybe ride some coasters in the process. And hopefully meet the cast of Jersey Shore, cuz Snookie is my new love <3

3) This is still a maybe as well if I go to the Live, but I'm hopefully going to California for the second year in a row, and going to Magic Mountain and Knotts Berry Farm, as I wen to Disneyland and Universal Hollywood last year.

And just thought of this, but 4) I'll be going to SFOT to ride what is my most anticipated ride of the year, The New Texas Giant

2011 is looking to be my most fun year yet!

I have a trip all planned out with my friend in Virginia. I'll be staying with him for a few days and re-visiting KD and BGW, and then we're heading south to Carowinds, SFOG, and Dollywood. Depending on time and money, re-visits to Knoebels and Hershey are also possible.

I have another trip vaguely planned to CP, SFGAm, and other possible nearby parks, but not much thought has been put into this one yet so I'm not sure if it'll happen.

As far the local parks, it seems like I visit them all less and less each year, but the friend I'm going to the Deep South with is coming back to Cali so I have guaranteed trips to Castle Park, Scandia, DLR, KBF, SFMM, and possibly Vegas? I'm sure I'll get back out to Disneyland, Knott's, and Magic Mountain a few more times as well, and maybe I'll also finally get to Legoland!

Another very light year for me. Already confirmed:
Alton (Live and with Jerry and every other bloody week ).
Drayton Manor (Live)
Paultons Park (Pepper Pig World FTW!)
Blackpool (with Jerry)

And... Are you ready? The ultimate trip this year...
Hayling Island! Oh yeah!!! (though I'll probably skip "the credz").

I really want to get the family to Chessington too this year, but I just don't know if we'll be able to manage it. Still it may be the last year we have MAPs, so we should make the most of it.

With Jerry's visit I'd also be tempted with Thorpe, LWV and FL but it really does depend on funds (which are very tight).

I'm sure that more will appear over time. Madame_furie has her eye on a long weekend in North Wales, so we may try and grab a day at Greenwood too.

Maybe, but I don't quite see it that way. Besides, some of us have a much bigger advantage than others due to location, time off from work & income. :wink:
I like this topic because it gives me a chance to see what my buds are up to & I can post here so that CF peeps can contact me if they are interested in getting together at any of the parks I'm visiting.

Because a 14 year old and 5 year old are conducive to what kind of mood you could possibly kill exactly?

If we do go, it won't be an arranged "day" I'm afraid. It'll just be one day while we're on the holiday and it fits with what everyone is doing. So it won't be "we're away for four days and on day three we'll go to Greenwood".

It's a little bit too much of a trek for you to "pop over" too I suspect
