Drove through London Saturday because I was bored.
The Shard is a massive meh. Doesn't really stand out in the skyline, Canary Wharf is far more impressive from a distance. Even driving around London you only really appreciate the size of it when you drive pretty much underneath it. Heron Tower was far more impressive too.
I saw the Shard when I was in London last week and although it looks alright it just doesn't seem to dominate the skyline like other buildings such as the Gherkin.
It's the main skyscraper now, but because it's pretty much on it's own in terms of location, canary wharf and the city's skyline are both far more prominent.
