What's new

What are July 2014 week day queue times like at Alton?

Absolutely horrific! This is peak season tbh. I went a few years ago and got on about 3 rides in seven hours.

I warn you now.

Should be excellent, few queues and easy access to the bigger rides. No need to rush there, by getting there later in the day you can sleep in and still get all the rides.

I'm going tmr, what kind of queue times can I expect for the big rides?
Will I need a fast track?

Thanx

How did it go? I'd have thought half an hour to an hour for the most part, maybe an hour plus for Rita, Thirteen and The Smiler?

Ridiculous queues for the water rides?

I've not been to the park this year, so I have no idea how busy it's been. Though it's impossible to say as some years I've been August bank Holiday and it's been empty...

8 rides in total, not bad considering I was there 11am-5pm, I was worried I'd only get on 3 rides like 'Faceyournemesis' suggested.
It was my first time at Alton since 2010!

1x Duel
2 x Nemesis (amazing front row as always/'meh' on row 6)
1 x air
2 x Smiler (my first time going on it- thought it was pretty good, did not like the headbanging/spine-jolts on the last few inversions)
1 x Oblivion (still awesome)
1 x Rita

Man it was so hot!
Had to slap the suncream on twice, I'll hopefully be going back for the Fireworks stuff and a hotel stay later in the year.
Plus I really wanna play that Aliens arcade cabinet in X-sector. :--D
