Thank you for reading my favourite parks by country!
P.S. Out of interest, is there a coaster version of this? If not, I might make one!

Galaxyland obviously

Florida
Busch Gardens Tampa Bay — this place has so much nostalgia for me! I grew up with this park and I love it to death!!

North Carolina
Carowinds — my current homepark.

South Carolina
Family Kingdom — a lovely little park. It does many things right in my book, for example keeping their antique cars and train ride which both go under Swamp Fox, their surprisingly amazing ‘60s wooden coaster, and playing ‘70s music over the intercom. All they need is a good steel coaster, like a Gerstlauer 320/380 Eurofighter, an S&S El Loco/Gale Force clone, or maybe a Premier Skyrocket II?

Indiana
Holiday World — my #2 park overall. Voyage is my #1 coaster.

Pennsylvania
Knoebels — I’ve actually been to most of the parks in eastern PA, excluding Dutch Wonderland (Maybe in 2020?). Knoebels easily takes the cake. While they don’t seem to have many coasters or any outstanding ones, I think that Knoebels should be commended for focusing on quality additions instead of quantity ones. Each one of their coasters offers a different experience than the last, and Knoebels has a similar amount of non-coaster rides to what you’d find at a major park like Cedar Point! They have 3 sets of antique cars (I didn’t ride any sadly, but I did acquire a love for antique cars just two days later at Kings Dominion), a skyride that goes up a large hill and 2 train rides! Phoenix was my 100th coaster and in my top 10 favorites. The park is super reasonable with shirts at $12, coasters at $3, and food at much less than a Cedar Fair or Six Flags Park. The Knoebel family love what they do and it’s very obvious they put that passion into their park. This is my favorite park of all time, shockingly for me; I expected Cedar Point to easily best it just the day before my visit!

Georgia
Six Flags Over Georgia

Tennessee
Dollywood — a nice place. I feel that my numerous visits has worn the park’s charm thin for me however, and my indulgences of cinnamon bread as well as continued disappointments of Lightning Rod laps have made me not praise them to high heaven.

Ohio
Kings Island — this park pleasantly surprised me. I even prefer it to Cedar Point, which I visited the day after this park. The Beast is in my top 10. Delirium was my favorite flat ride. Blueberry ice cream is delicious. I prefer the forested setting over the concrete jungle on a beach that Cedar Point is— not knocking the Point, I enjoyed it very much as well— and the charm of Kings Island is great.

Virginia
Kings Dominion — while I305 is my favorite steel coaster of all time, I just wasn’t impressed with the Dominion outside of that one outstanding ride. Volcano was a letdown for me, it was anything but intense as people were telling me, and Grizzly was a huge disappointment— dare I say it’s bad? I liked Flight of Fear though. It was better than Kings Island’s by having less of a rattle.

Interesting list! Kings Dominion ahead of BGW for Virginia is an interesting one; have you visited? If you have been to BGW, I'd be interested to know why you put KD ahead of it.

I'd also be interested to know whether coaster lineup is the main attribute for the multitudes of people saying Busch Gardens Tampa is their favourite park in Florida. I can certainly get why people would like the park, but when I visited in August 2016, I thought that there were a number of other theme parks in Florida that I preferred; in fact, Busch Gardens is actually my least favourite Florida theme park out of the ones I've visited (Both Universal parks, Disney's Animal Kingdom, SeaWorld Orlando and Busch Gardens Tampa). I definitely enjoyed my time at the park and want to revisit, and the coaster lineup is fab, but I couldn't seem to love the park like some do. Maybe a revisit would paint the park in a slightly more positive light for me?
