The Intimidator. B&M Hyper 2010 - Carowinds

They're moving pretty good on this, and yes, I agree with whoever said it, I couldn't be happier that they're not using yellow supports :p . Hopefully they make the whole area look pretty nice as well.

Good stuff, can't wait to ride this mofo.

Topped off today, and looking TALL!

^Of course, standing below Diamondback, it seemed quite tall. ;)

As far as I305 vs this.. all things being equal, the coasters shouldn't be progressing at the same speed. An 100ft difference, two different types of designs, totally different support structures.. and they might be built by different companies (maybe? I'm too lazy to check). I actually figured this would be happening, and was almost a given.

What I had been referring to was that I-305 seems to stagnate for days and weeks with no visible progress, while this one chugs along. I know that it (I-305) is actually a far more complex build.

Well, the lift hill is.
:p

Well maybe the I305 has longer to build? Winter isn't too big of a problem in Virginia so I don't suspect that is the major concern.

Both are supposed to be opening day coasters, and looking back the past 5 years or so, either the parks have either opened on the same day, or CW was one week earlier than KD.

<Shrugs.

I was just assuming, I was much too lazy to actually look up opening days.

Well, as long as they are getting built, that is the important thing.

Horrible news from the construction site: You can't see the construction site!
Not a bad view of the Skytower superstructure, though.

I can see a grossly out of focus red blur but thats about it. :dontknow: Maybe I'm just being OCD.

It seems like the drop is almost done, if not complete already. I can't wait to see some pictures of the full lifthill and drop.
