Necro-posting FTW...
Anyway... is it just me, or is this series a WHOLE lot less **** than the last?
After a VERY unpromising start to the season, which led me to ignore it until I got bored enough to venture onto 4oD, things are actually happening
There's reasonable acting, and character development and everything; they've even managed to make Cook bareable, Freddie rather less one-dimensional, and from what I gathered tonight, FINALLY put Effy back in character! For those that remember, I quite seriously fanboyed the second series, and was beyond disappointment with the load of rubbish they threw at us in 2009, thus the improval I've witnessed over the last 4 episodes (2nd and 5th particularly) has made me quite happy.
Tonight, just like old times had me glued to the screen, even without the aid of alcohol, which traditionally accompanied Skins viewings back in the blurry days of 2008, and, for the first time SINCE 2008, I'm actually interested to see the next episode. This is not least because JJ, whose centric-episode was the only half-decent one last time around... and it doesn't take a genius to work out why I find him the most interesting of the current lot; though on a more... shallow level, I'm liking Emily more by the week...
