SFGAdv still saying KingdaKa's tallest and fastest?

So i dont know if this has been brought up before or not, but after just getting back from a trip to SFGAdv I found it annoying when in line for KingdaKa and kept on hearing them announce that it is still the tallest and fastest in the world. Does this bother anyone else as much as it does me??

Height: yup, still the tallest.

Speed: technically it still is, as Ring Racer is STILL not open and Formula Rossa doesn't open until about Halloween.

So, it doesn't bother anyone before it's not yet false.

Parks do this all the time, though, don't they?

I'm pretty sure BPB still touts PMBO as Europe's tallest & fastest roller coaster... and I don't doubt that SFMM still says Superman The Escape still tops out at 100 mph and goes over 300 feet up the tower too.

Point being... it's no big deal.

Well.. since ringracer is SBNO.. it is still the tallest and fastest OPERATING coaster. :p

Regardless of the others not operating, they won't change it unless they are forced to by advertising standards (or another Six flags ride breaks the record). Aaaaand, this won't happen.

PMBO still thinks it's the tallest and fastest in the world... Which is far more annoying, especially since not even the general public believe it. Lol.

Which is good because its complete ****! Seriously, how could S&S build anything worse? I'll be happy when Formula Rosa takes the record when it opens.

I agree false advertising is BS. What makes them think they still have the right to advertise it? I'm surprised CP or SF didn't get on their case. I guess it's because they don't pull guests from the same market.

Well if all stories are true on the internet this still will be the tallest and fastest coaster in the world as the other 2 will not be run to the speeds they were meant to.

I suspect Intamin will ask them to remove it when they have a faster ride running. Simply because Intamin produce both, and will want the record to be correct for their company.

Otherwise, it's just one of those. It's not like people are in New York, thinking "Great Adventure or Germany... Maybe Dubai? Hell, we'll stick to Great adventure, they've got the tallest and fastest! Screw you Europe and the Middle East, we're staying home!!!!"

Comments like this piss me off. You can't say it's **** until you've actually rode it, you might find the acceleration alone is intense enough to blow your mind. And then you blame: "how could S&S build anything worse?", it's the buyers choice what they want, S&S build it for them, thus Nurburgring (which is not a theme park!), wanting to simulate the acceleration of an F1 car, nothing more. Besides it'd be a little far-fetched if they added a 500 foot top-hat, dive loops and 90 degree drops to RingRacer, as stated they're simulating the acceleration of an F1 car...

I know as cool as it'd be to have RingRacer a bit more than it is, but it's built on a F1 raceway not Six Flags Magic Mountain. Formula Rossa is for the thrill-seekers wanting an intense, forceful, air-time packed ride when they visit the theme park in Dubai; RingRacer is for the F1 fanatics, so when they visit the raceway they can test thereselves on RingRacer, by launching 135 mph in just around 2 seconds, nothing else, nothing more.

And it's common for theme parks to false-advertise anyway, as said before about PMBO. I suppose a similar thing goes for Nemesis "The worlds most intense ride experience", it's impossible to clarify that.

Buddy, acceleration alone can never make a crappy coaster a good one.

Oh my god, really, I never knew Nurburgring was not a theme park. Do you think I'm an absolute retard? First of all, if the park is just trying to simulate F1 acceleration, F1 cars don't accelerate that fast! It takes them almost three seconds to get up to 124. You cant tell me that they weren't trying to put some thrill into the ride.

Don't use demeaning terms like "buddy" to address other people on here. It's obnoxious, especially when you're correcting them with your own opinion and not a fact.

You look really childish.

Kingda Ka is a "crappy coaster", isn't it? It's just really tall and really fast.

 Yes and soccer is just a dumb sport were men run around a kick a ball.
The only thing that is good about RingRacer, or a least looks like it, is it's launch. It hits it's top speed only slows down. The only other bit of track thrown in there is a fancy turn around. You don't get the satisfactions of negative g's, being 400+ feet in the air, and heading into a downward spiral.
The ride does what it was meant to do, launch, but nothing more. Thus it is a "crappy ride".

Edit:

I know I can be a dick at times and a very stupid one. I'm sorry for that. My problem is that I post without thinking. (Including what's above, but hey, I had to explain my self.) In the end I need to stop treating people on here like random people on the internet, but as fellow coaster enthusiasts.

You're allowed to think what you want about whatever ride, ridden or not. But you can cut the attitude.

P.S. I don't even like Soccer?

RingRacer was never even meant to have a layout, the idea of the ride was to simulate start and stop of an F1 car. The layout only happened due to S&S pushing for it. So yes the launch will good (if it ever works) and the breaks will be.

The ride was never ever meant to be about the rest of the layout.

The public will not care about the rest of the ride anyway, the launch will be enough to get everyones heart racing and that will be the main talking point.

So "crappy ride" no as it does what it was designed to do (if it ever works).

You can read up about in year old F1 books.
