Seat belts on Diamondback (and Behemoth)

I'm glad that Elaine and I were able to ride Diamondback before the seat belts... of course, it makes us wonder if Six Flags will add them on B&M coasters like Goliath!

They won't be. The only other B&M Hyper with seatbelts was Nitro, and they don't want any form of seatbelts to come back on that ride, ever.

I was curious how they were going to implement those seat belts. Some thought they might do something similar to Flight of Fear!

Seatbelts are a pain enough. Having seat belts that randomly clip into the lap bar is even worse. However, to lend another story of rides with changing restraints, Backlot Stunt Coaster at Kings Island used to have seat belts and a closing door during the Italian Job years, all of which have since been removed which helps load time.

Never understood everything with unneeded seat belts at KI, why do you need one on a suspended coaster that connects to restraint? Add in the horribleness of Flight of Fear seat belts on leg restraints which negates anybody with long legs being comfortable.

Give it a little while and I am sure they will speed up, shame they added them, but the added security probably saves them on insurance.
